Dearest Deb,
I'm so sorry to know you are feeling so awful. I wish I had some sage words for you. All I feel is sadness. I pray your troubles lessen. Gentle hugs.

Slonedeb. Today is another "flight" day for me. I'm scheduled to leave Kansas and fly to Dallas.
Since I'll be zipping thru the heavens I'll have a closer opportunity to speak with the angels. I'll see if I can get a peek at AlaskaDeb's swearing in ceremony. Probably CTG will be the one wearing the one shoulder strapped, innagural knock-off gown. They'll be having a big party, I'm sure.
Much love to you.
Kbug sending you strength!
Tender, I think it's been a while since you've checked in. Praying that your family member is eeking along with daily progress. How fortunate to have your close-by vigil. Sending prayers.
To all of our SloneRangers: I wish you well today. Hold one another up..... that's all we've got in the end.

Morning Deb, I saw the most beautiful rainbow this morning. It was so big. One of the most perfect ones I have seen. It is a promise from God .It was a reminder to me he keeps his word. I was on my way to rads at the time. It gave me hope. Some days we need a pick me up and there it was. Have a blessed day my dear friend.
Faith you are a well traveled lady for sure. Thank you for your prayers.
-
Dear Deb - You are never far from my thoughts. Sending you prayers for comfort and peace in the days ahead. Blessings to you, Joann

Just talked to Tammy in Alaska, ordering roses for me and SloneDeb. I was having to repeat; southern accent, you know? I said, "We all come up there; y'all don't come down here!" Tammy quipped, "No reason to!"
She did then say she'd visited Gatlinburg, TN last summer and does want to get an RV and tour the country. We discussed the beauty of the Smoky Mountains!
Tammy told me she'd graduated with DebC, and that she had no idea of Deb's problems~~~she went around with a smile on her face.

Blessings upon our Kentucky Deb and all the Slone Rangers~~

Well Deb just got back from the airport. Son on his way back to okinawa. We watched the plane take off and the tears and prayers flowed. It was so good to have him home. I told him I will do all I can to keep fighting. He said he knew I would.
Deb are you snowed and iced in and no power to post? I pray you are toasty and comfy and pain free. God bless you and all us sloane rangers.
-
Kbug, I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to your son. It's such a hard time for you. You remain in our prayers also.
You hang tough.
Gracie
-
Kbug, my heart breaks for you as you have to say goodbye to your son. God bless the Red Cross for providing this week of time for you to spend with him. I pray you can stay strong and your current treatment will provide some relief.
Deb, I hope you have someone that is with almost constantly. I remember during chemo and when the battle was strong, just how hard it was to be alone. I also hope and pray that your meds have been adjusted and that you are able to have some relief from the pain. Please post when you can or maybe your daughter or grand-daughter can help you. We think of you so often. This is the first place I look when I log on after work for a report on how our dear Slonedeb has faired for the day.
Tender, where are you? Thinking of you and praying for your family member and your family back at home.

Good morning Deb. Hope your weather is improving. When it is cold and nasty our pains seem worse. I think of you often and wait to see your next post. May you have a pain free day. We love you and need you. You started us sloane rangers....
-
Dear Deb, while a long absence has taken me from this site, I never once had a day pass without thinking of you and saying a prayer or two. I am so sorry to read of your daily pain, swelling and of course worry. It pains all of us to hear of your suffering, and I hope your doctor will make suggestions to relieve some of your most vicious discomfort. There are pain doctors and nurses, Deb, yet I know you cherish your privacy, and may be reluctant to have home care help.It seems suffering surrounds me this first month of January, 2009. I have spent the better part of two plus weeks with my own family in a life close to death twice and still uncertain: the hospital, hotel, and even house I have stayed in has not offered wireless and my computer is not compatible with the purchasable wireless addition. So tonight I went to a coffee shop determined to log on and hence this will be my closing.Sweet prayers for you, dearest Deb of Kentucky, said daily and beyond and said with true meaning and feeling.Tender

Deb I keep thinking you may be iced in with bad weather since been awhile since you posted. I pray if that is the case you are not without power long. We are still waiting for a post and praying you. I have one rad to go. yipppeeee then back to a different chemo on wed. Last night I called my grands to say good night. One of em Jordan she is 6 said grandma are you better. I was stunned what to say. I paused and then said yes I am good. She yelled out grandma is better. I cried when I got off the phone. I did not lie my back pain is almost gone so I am better. But I know she is worried about me. I am still needing a miracle with my lung mets. I do believe in miracles. SO Deb I am riding this storm... GOD bless Deb ... God bless all sloane rangers
-
Awww Bug........hugs. A sweet story. No wonder you cried.
-
Prayers for you both, Deb and kbug. Thought of you today as I scurried around helping. Hoping these posts lift your spirit as human comfort so thirstfully so often does. Please may you help all here, Lord, to heal their bodies and mind, to give them peace in turmoil, and to guide their medical team to compassion, healing and beneficence.
With great feeling in my heart,
Tender

Hello Deb, Pra you are doing well today. I am missing seeing you post but still worried you may be without power. But I am sure as soon as you can you will be back on here. We are impatient sloane rangers. As you can see Faith off and away again. She is a traveling sloane ranger. My sister is getting here any time from fla. She is here for a week. This is my big sis 16 years older than me. We will have fun. lol I will still check in here each day . So Deb ride the storm with me and we will win...... God bless all.

Slonedeb. Kbug. SloneRangers-one-and-all...............
I am so very fortunate -- my work today at this conference was very well received. I am now done and will get organized to fly home VERY early tomorrow morning. I figure that I'll have to get up around 4:00 a.m. to get out to the airport in time.
It's good to be able to go...... and while I'm able, I intend to log a lot of miles.
Slonedeb, I, too am eager to have a little sign from you. The weather being such a hardship & all that you go thru in a day's time. I certainly don't want to make up any suffering, but I'm just so eager to see your name & a post.
Please know that as I'm jotting about the country I'm always saying prayers for everyone here, with your name at the top of the list.

Sending warm hugs and love....

First log in from my home, yea, finally back after some two plus weeks. So another sister here thinking of you and so many others. Deb, may you be surrounded by earth-biding angels protecting you from loneliness, fear, and cold. May they breath a pain free state to your body, ease your breaths, and bath you in specialness and peace.
Slonerangers are praying worldwide for you Deb.
Missing your posts,
Tender

For SloneDeb, Tender, Footsie, KBug, Faith, and all the faithful, loving Slone Rangers:
God didn't promise days without pain,
Laughter without sorrow or sun without rain.
But God did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
And to all who believe in his kingdom above,
He answers their faith with everlasting life.~~~ Blessings~~~
