Oh, Deb, I am sorry. I wish I were there to bring you a tray and sit by your side and rub your feet.

I had stern words with the Lord last night. My little sister in Nashville e-mailed me with this subject line: I have breast cancer. She's 18 1/2 years younger, and I was hoping she'd beat it. She only knew our mother as a breast cancer fighter. Mother made it to her MBA graduation, but not to her wedding. I wrote her about this forum and the help she can find here. I haven't talked with her by phone yet, but I know she is scared. She has a 12-year-old son and her husband's a "basket case", but supportive.

My prayers and love to all the Slone Rangers~~~"ride out your storms"

Miracles were not just in the bible they are for today also. It is a miracle that we got up this morning. So we are still watching and waiting for a good report for a change. I know how scary it is to hear the bad reports from the drs. I am a work in progress I say to try my best to grow my faith more each day. I look at my kids and grands and say hey you are worth it and I am fighting on. So Deb we just have to keep stomping on satan. As my grands sing If the devil doesnt like it he can sit on a tack. We are winners in the Lord Deb hang on to that . I know there is times we must cry and have pity parties but we must get back up and ride the storm. I remember how ctg use to say to zarowny hang on bat girl. Well we are sloane rangers and we ride out our storms and are not alone. You are never alone and always in our prayers and thoughts who knows maybe we are one prayer away from our miracles. Hugs and love to you Deb. Remember we are blessed...

This is a new day. Let us begin again. We are children of a caring Creator. Let us hold on to that fact.

We are sisters brought together to hold one another up. Daffodil, I'm so sorry to learn that your actual sister is part of our card-carrying club. I hope that she makes herself feel at home at this site..... it's been a lifeline for so many.

Slonedeb & Kbug, we send prayers for each of you. Tender & Footie our prayers extend to the walk that you undergo as well.

Be of good courage. Be strong and do not fear. There is a new day dawning.

The days have been wrapped around hospitals, scares, and moment to moment hope and anticipation. Tonight is my first time back on bc.org in days. I read your post with a lump in my throat and can well imagine the tears which flow when growth occurs in spite of current chemo. I do hang on to Larry Norton's words "there's always another chemo for breast cancer if the patient is willing to try it and wants to". So Deb I will say extra prayers for you and your oncologist as you discuss this recent news. I hope your swelling isn't too heavy making you short of breath, and that if it is, you ask for home oxygen. Do you have a nursing aide who might help you too Deb? Or a family member who know could spend some continuous time? I so think of you, even when far from home. I hope you always know I keep you close and upfront in my thoughts, with special prayers for intervention and comfort these days.

Your so very dear to us, Deb.

    Tender

Slonedeb. A new day dawns. Let us give thanks, for this is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day, this is the day, that the Lord has made.

That was an old camp song that we'd sing louder and louder.

Thinking of you this morning as I begin my day.

SloneRangers let's keep the candle lit.

Tender -- so good to see a post from you. Glad to hear that despite the scares there is reason for hope.

    Happy Birthday to you.

    Happy Birthday to you.

    Happy Birthday, dear Slonedeb.

    Happy Birthday to you!!!

    WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW.............

You didn't even give us an inkling that your big day was coming.

I'm smiling that your day has arrived. I'm smiling that you're here for the party.

Are ya gonna tell us how old you are?

What a happy day, even in the midst of tears, frustrations and unknowns, you're here to celebrate this milestone. I know that your kids and grands are happy to have this day unfolding..... with you right in the middle of it!

Today is also Sharon51's birthday. We're having a party over on the 'beach thread' for her -- and if you pop over there you can join the nonsense.

Oh Dear Slonedeb......wish all your BC sisters could be with you in person today.....just to hold your hand, sit and talk, cry or laugh. You must feel good in your heart to know that so many people love and care for you. I always check to see how you're doing and watch for your posts. Even though I don't post on this thread often, you're in my prayers every day. I pray that tens of thousands of angels are dispatched to you today to give you peace in your heart and comfort for your body. We all love you and wish you a Happy Birthday!

    God Bless You!!

Dearest Deb, I am virtually sitting with you holding your hand on your birthday. I am so sorry you are spending your day in pain. I'm sending the warmest wishes possible and wishing relief from the pain.

Dear Lord, I lift up our sister, Deb, to you. I pray that you comfort and bless her on the anniversary of this day that you breathed life into her. Let her rest in your peace that passes all understanding, let her know that your ways are not her ways, increase her trust in You. Thank you so much for her example for the Slonerangers and for her family. I pray that you would pour out your blessings and your healing on Deb and her family this day. Let her see encouragement this day in these areas. Help her to keep her hope in you. Thank you for allowing us to know this precious woman in our lives. Amen.

Hi, Deb, just wanted to say Happy Birthday, and also am very happy to hear the news about your daughter.  But so sorry to hear the news about your liver.  Take it one day at a time, and know that we are all praying for you, and praying for healing.  You continue to be such an inspiration to me.

Heavenly Father, I come to you tonight to ask you sincerely for healing for my friend Deb.  If it is your will, Father, heal her quickly, and completely.  Keep her safe in the palm of your hand, and give her the security and peace that she requires to make it through this awful storm she is in.  We ask these things in the name of Our Savior, Jesus.  Amen.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Today is my mom's birthday too. You are always in my prayers. I hope your recent trouble gets knocked back with the right treatment and it is easy on you. It's tough to keep on keepin' on through the ups and downs of this stinking disease...never forget that there's a great big bunch of people out here who love you and are praying for you!

    Deb,

Happy birthday!  I haven't posted to you before, but I have read your story.  You are an inspiration to us all.

May God bless you and keep you, may He shine His face upon you and grant you His peace.  That is one of my favorite passages, I hope that you find comfort in your faith.

    Gentle Hugs,

My love, my prayers and my sincere Happy Birthday wishes to you. A few minutes ago my dogs had to get up and run howling around the house. I'd like to think that they were singing to you.

    Life is simple now, believe.

    Happy-morning-after-Birthday-New-Year's-beginning-hope's-a-rising-DAY!!

Slonedeb I know that your heart was touched by all of the sisters here bringing you birthday wishes. It's a tribute to the woman that you are -- that you can inspire so many, by your willingness to take one step at a time and remain open to possibilities, even when they are not obvious.

I'm sending you extra hugs and prayers. I think of you often thru out the day and ask angels to surround you.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

    SloneRangers, blessings to you.

Today we're having a lunch of 9 BCO survivors!! How much fun will this be?? I'll take pictures and share with you.

Happy Birthday, Deb. It's always a special day to ourselves, yes? I hope you were able to enjoy a piece of birthday cake.

I think of you each day, wishing you no pain, minimal discomfort, freer breathing, some peace amidst a storm. It's been a year since we all started together, and what a year it was in so many ways. Best of all was your sharing with all of us the delightful woman you are: you have many worldwide admirers.

I'm far in distance, but you're never far from mind Deb.

    With affection,
