Had to post another Michelle Malkin article (she has a page called Double Standards)
With an estimated 1.5 million people expected to descend on Washington for the Obama festivities and a federal tax bill alone of at least $50 million, next January's inauguration will dwarf Bush's inaugural events and expenses. We are still at war. And, as the Democrats remind us, economic times are tough and average Americans are hurting.
Will Democrat Rep. Weiner demand that Obama go the "cold chicken salad and plain pound cake" route and redirect all the money Obama's Chicago team is raising to the troops, too? Or has he stopped caring about the brave men and women he exploited in 2005 to score Bush-bashing points with the nutroots?
Will billionaire Mark Cuban, who demanded that Bush donate his inauguration funds to Indonesian tsunami victims, call on Obama to fork over the inaugural funds to victims of the Mumbai terrorist bombings or to distressed American homeowners under water on their mortgages?
Where are all the anti-Inauguration critics now?
Just wondering.

You know where they are Rock. They are at Armani, Chanel, etc. getting fitted with their fancy duds so they can go to the balls and bow to the savoir. Did you see how much hollywood gave on that list I posted. They led the pack. The Lincoln bedroom is going to be booked solid for the next 4 years.
Speaking of Lincoln. I am so sick of everyone comparing him to BHO. bama has not even been sworn in, has not even done a dam thing and he is LINCOLNESQUE (sp?). Why are they letting him use Lincoln's bible, and Why is his little train show following Lincoln's. Lincold was a REPUBLICAN for pete's sake. Could you imagine the flack if a Republican was showing such arrogance. Bama thinks by emulating Lincoln he will be considered great. It is sickening.

shirley, thanks for the good wishes. i was talking about zofran to offset the nausea from all the coverage between now and hmmmm 2013?
what's this about qvc covering the coronation too??? what on earth will i watch tuesday. hannity was just criticizing the great one for his perceived associations with lincoln when he hasn't done anything yet...duh!!
rock, i'm surprised at you. it's all different, you know that. these things aren't ok if it's bush but ok if it's a dem. at least bush won't do the 5 hour departure from washington that clinton did when he left. i thought he'd never get on the dam plane and fly into the sunset. but of course he (they) did not fly into the sunset. he's the only pres and wife in my life who did not just go away when their term was over.
on a different note, today i got in the mail a bill for almost $1800. from the onc i dumped (forgot to give me herceptin) after almost 3 years. 1st bill in all this time. monday i'm calling medicare to see if there's a time limit. my other insurances weren't even billed that i can see. how am i to figure out 6 pages of charges after almost 3 years. i still don't have the energy to drive much less go over all of this.

Shirley, I hate to tell you this, but you lose again! Sherri is number 6000! You need to be paying better attention. That is what happens when give someone that little doggie paw. LOL
Better luck next time! If you are not banned for life.
At least if you are still in the dog house on R day, you can stay above the fray. Do you need any bones?
-
Jersey, two things, 1st Zofran made the metal taste I would get from chemo even worse, so I switched to phenergan. So if you notice a yuck taste it could be zofran. 2nd tell your old onc-the one who forgot to give you Herceptin, that he either stamp your bill "Paid in Full" or your lawyer will stamp him with a malpractice suit. Just sayin.....

You know, I was reading a blog and some people think that the reason Repubs are mad is because Obama is black. Why would they make such racist remarks? Do they not see the praise for Condi and Gen Powell?
I guess accusing us of being racist makes some people feel better. I feel sorry for people who can only see color as a divider and not ideals (and brains).
-
I am so sick of the racist crap. The only thing I think that is good about bama is that he is black. I am proud that my country did not look at race to elect a president. I just wish he was a qualified and articulate(as opposed to good reader) like Michael Steele.
The hillbuzz guys have this great video with Rush and Coulter:
They are discussing how George Soros, not only owns the demmo party, but how he has manipulated the markets. This guys wants to destroy America, and he has the billions to do it. They also talk about how Bama gets rid of his competition, well his goons do, by digging up stuff on them. This is what he did to Jack Ryan who was going to oppose him for the Illinois Senate. If the idiots in Illinois had gone to bat for Ryan, instead of taking him out and putting in Alan Keyes, bama would not be president now. The way this guy got into office is just amazing. Look for lots of ---- hitting the fan in the next few years. Where is that graphic Rock?
-
-
Well regarding the train and comparing himself to Lincoln ..... he compares himself to Kennedy, too .. or if not him ...... his disciples...
-
Rock, in an attempt to establish a fair playing ground, I feel you should begin your post at 5 am your time while sitting in a tub of ice water. As it is, we are cold sleep deprived insomniacs up in to the wee hours while you are adjusting your air conditioner just past 10 pm at night. No wonder your dazzling good looks and quick minded retorts and cartoons. So set your alarm clock and get three buckets of ice, and we will communicate on equal footing tomorrow. We want to see some bags under those eyes, and shivering typing fingers.
-
moody, oh if it were that easy. i 'm sure would if i could prove that not getting herceptin when i was supposed to likely is why i have mets so soon, but no one could ever say that. just my mind wondering and not ever knowing. where do you ladies find these perfect graphics?
spouse, please remember, there are some on this thread who will never have undereye bags, flab, varicose veins as well as grey hair. i am not one of them.
-
Let's see. Where do I start. I don't think I have but a couple of post (if that) left before my respite returns.
Jerseymaria,I get it! I don't have any of that good ole expensive Zofran left. But I plan to stay away as much as I can from all the hoopla. I realize we are supposed to be enjoying and taking in all the crap on TV. I cannot remember a time when so many people swooned over a president elect. So, drown yourself in those pills unless you'd rather get drunk.
Ya know, I've "sort of" read where some people here cannot get over the fact that we are NOT ENJOYING this side show, Don't get me wrong..I hope the PE can solve our problems..LMBO! If he does then he IS the ONE! Hopefully when this man is sworn into office we won't be seeing him so much.
I don't understand why they did not enjoy President Bush's farewellS.
Laura was in such a rush to get out of the WH that she's already shipped STUFF off. I hope she didn't take any China or silver. We WON'T be seeing the Bush's around for hours on end like when Bill and Hill HAD moved out. Like President Bush said..he'll get step off the stage.
I have a cartoon or two to share IF this goes through. I didn't last night so I'll try now and then off to beddy bye I must go. I fell asleep on the couch and now I'm wide awake (actually was wide awake but now am getting sleepy).
-
i find it interesting that a racist association is made towards those who do not support bama yet some pretty awful things were said if memory serves me right concerning condi rice and colin powell that sure sounded racist to me at the time. we personally had more african american friends as adults than white friends. and i say had only because after my hubs cardiac arrest his friends slowly disappeared when it became clear he would not be the same person he was before. and i also think michael steele is awesome. ok, back to bed...where oh where is the percocet......
-
hey what's this???? shirley was banned???? for what may i ask. this banning thing is sure selective isn't it....just thinkin......
-
JM, I understand what you mean about friends disappearing after a husband's illness. I guess if you can't play sports or party.....
Vivre, let's give the future First Lady a chance. The photographers will present her in the most flattering poses, at least for a while. Laura has enjoyed little criticism~~except for marrying George. She is a remarkably pretty woman. Other recent First Ladies have been panned in the press after the "Honeymoon", often unfairly. Can you imagine having to look good EVERY day???
I have been moved by the coverage of a real hero, Captain Sullenberger.
Shirl, I have nothing but envy for someone who can post the clever images that you do.

Evidently, the thought police, who think they are above us lowly republicans are continuing their crusade to censor anything they do not agree with that we say. I thought we had freedom of speech in this country? I thought we were allowed to say what we want about political figures as long as we do not make personal threats against them. I could vow to go<---------------, read their drivel and report all the garbage that they have been spewing about Bush and the GOP, and us, but I will not do so. I will not stoop to that level. I just think that the behavoir of some people who feel that they should be allowed to say whatever they want, but we should only be allowed to worship the ONE or we have to shut up, is the height of hypocrisy. I actually feel sorry for people who are so obsessed with others that they have this kind of hate towards other women who have been through the nightmare of breast cancer. Why is it that we are not allowed to talk here, according to them? Most of us do not constantly make derogatory remarks toward them. They seem to think anything we say against dems is against them personally when, we are referring to politicians! We have a right, in the USA to be critical of our governement. When we have to shut up, is when we become a communist nation. This behavoir by the thought police has to stop. I want to say this to them again. Leave us alone and we will leave you alone. I will not read your thread because I do not agree with what you say, but I respect your right to say whatever you want to say. I do not even care if you insult me personally over there . Since I do not read it, it will not hurt me. I ask all of you over there to do the same thing. If you hate us so much, then ignore us. Stop trying to be our thought police. Stop trying to shut down our thread. It will be much better for your health.
-
i'm going to make this short....too much pain. BUT i'm getting fed up with the insinuations that anyone who does not support bama is racist. that is bull!!! i'm very proud that my country has reached the point where we could and did elect a black president. this was just not the man for me and that doesn't make me a racist. we've always had many african-american friends. i do not support him because he has zilch for experience. has too many ultra-liberal and socialistic ideas and i just don't trust him. and yes i do believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. i feel the same way about hillary and we're both white, middle aged women. i've always tried to live my life following a live and let live belief. i'm tired of this country being forced to ignore the beliefs of 85% of the population and catering to the other 15%. i do not intend to give up my morals, my religion and doing what is right simply because it is right. time for a little maturity and practicing what is preached. just my humble opinion.
-
vivre,
I think your post will fall on deaf ears. The question is how many of us will they take down before we do something.
-
If this gets through....I AM SAVING EVERY POST I WRITE. I REMEMBER WHAT POST LINDA POSTED THAT HAS BEEN REMOVED. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. NO ONE ATTACKED THE "WOMEN" ON THE OTHER BOARD.
pzl, you are correct. But I do say that every post that you post KEEP..SAVE..for proof. All I have is three that they reported..I don't know why I didn't get the other generic email from the mods..I wanted to see what I wrote. However, I do have the three and there's nothing wrong with them..Nothing worse than what they post.
It has been insinuated by some over there (in a very subtle way..clever way..without calling out a name..but we know who they are talking about) that we are racist and don't know it and that's even more dangerous..not to know you're a racist. Geez!
What's happening to me with regard to Obama is that the more I read the ugly remarks from the MSM and from the other ladies the more I don't like Obama. Sure, I'll give him a chance because I love my country and I want us to succeed. But will I bow down to, agree with or swoon over him...NO! As long as Pelosi and Reid and Barney are around...YUCK! And I'll be sure to watch his cabinet members. If a republican PE had nominated some of the cabinet members Obama has they'd be under so much scrutiny and the questions would be harsh. Right now the republicans are being wimps..I sick of them too. There's only a few who are concerned about some of his choices.
-
The girls over there removed a post that called Michelle Obama by the name I see on lots of news articles and blogs ... MOO... ???
Using that report this post for removing posts that are not personal attacks is against the rules. Vivre, I would send that post back to the mods, they know who hit that report button. I guess dingalings come in packs of 6.
-
Maria, You are so right. We are not allowed to have our opinions. If we do not agree with bama, we are racist. I would have voted for Colin Powell before he sold us out. I would have voted for Condi, I would have voted for Michael Steele. Heck I might even vote for Juan Williams and he is a dem because he sees both sides of issues. Just because I disagree with bamma I am racist? Just because I post a link of all of MOO's quotes, her own words, I am racist? Just because I think it is a little funny that she had a high paying job, where he salary was raised when her dh became senator, I am a racist? Well her job was to steer poor people who did not have insurance away from her hospital. WHO is the real racist? And when she did this successfully, the hospital made big donations to her husband's campaign. Imagine if Laura Bush had had such a job. The press would have gone bonkers. The double standard is sickening. Hitler came to power by blaming everything on the upper classes. Obama did the same thing, and MOO's writings and quotes are obvious that she thinks people who earn money should give it to others. The truth is, most people who are upper class do give back. They just like to do it themselves, not give money to the governement so they can waste it. The O's do not practice what they preach. Look at the paltry amount of their income that they gave to charity, Same with Biden. What a crock these people are. Hitler rose to power and stayed in power because he won the propaganda war and did not allow anyone to speak out against him. Is this what we are headed for. Will we not allowed a voice of dissent? I will say it again. You can say anything you want <---------. We should have the same right to speak our minds here.
-
Yes Vivre you are a racist............you are a Republican and we all know that you hate black people, homosexuals, non christen, poor people, uneducated people, old people, sick people, homeless people, people that grow up in Hawaii, people that go around claiming to be oppressed because they are black............even though they are raised by middle class white people and them themselves are just as white as they are black...........you hate everyone except educated, conservative white people..........Shokk
-
WOW Shokk...thank you for enlightening me, it helps immensely to know this information.
-
drats, does that mean we can't vacation in Hawaii ...
Will have to post pics of my daughter and her friend in the pool today. I did make some ice Herbie, but I am going to have to use it for lemonade, for the girls, cuz I am drinking a beer!
-
Rock, there is a 5 letter word that comes to mind, but since it is derogatory toward women, I will only smile and say bless you.
-
Did you meen Queen?
-
You read my mind
-
Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen
-
I have a headache. Not just the little annoying kind, but the kind that is throbbing and making my neck hurt. I have to go to choir and church tonight but my head hurts. Reading all this info is making it hurt worse. Knowing Vivre is prejudice against people who get headaches makes my head hurt. Know Rock is lounging in the sun makes my head hurt, and knowing that Obama gets sworn in Tuesday makes my head hurt.................
