The Respectfully Republican Conversation

I am so happy for you guys Herbie!!!!!!!!!! NED!! And you get to go back home! Looks like the trial worked for you guys and hopefully her famous boobs will set the new precedent!
-
Great news, IBC, I'm so happy for you both.
As far as the bickering on the threads, I have resolved not to go over there to read anymore. It just stresses me when I read the thinking of some people. The people here are much more entertaining with the joking and reminiscing of the oldies, not to mention the respectfully Republican part.
-
Apparently some people made a coordinated visit here to "celebrate" Mlk's actual birthday today????? I don't think that those kinds of actions are what MLK was about, or what PEBO claims to be about, but that seems to be how they are being honored.

In our irritation about the report feature, we conducted an experiment in reporting posts--just to figure out how many it would take to delete them, and whether even innocuous ones would get deleted. Guess what? They do! The report button has been abused, in our opinion. Used too easily on some posters, and not enough on others. There were a couple of posts on the RR thread about Amy that were particularly personal and libelous. Those should have been deleted, by the other folks on the RR thread, if by no one else, but weren't. Maybe us "dimwits" should have reported them sooner.
We've made a concerted effort recently on this thread not to respond to posts that might lead to an argument and not to refer to the RR ladies at all in our posts (talking behind their backs, in other words). Now that we've made our point about the posts, we'll go back to being good girls!
Happy b-day, dear Martin.

Thanks, I received a DVD of all the presenters and workshops at the
IBC Conference. Cam made it in two places... One on the big board for the whole conference, and another time in a workshop where she was a case study. -
IBCspouse just for you:
But for Cam :
-
IBC, I am in tears for your good news. The answer to all of our prayers. God is good. Give Cam extra hugs from all of us!
Now I am going to get you on a strict health regiment. Moody are you ready to play drill sargeant to our dear soldier? Left Left Left Right left.
Oops I meant, Right Right Right, left RIGHT!
-
Patmom, I thought that doing what LAPheonix did was against the rules? And then to have the audacity to actually admit it in writing on a public thread?
What that tells me, is she got so wrapped up in bragging about her shenanigans, she forgot about the possible consequences. PITA yet priceless!!!
-
sorry, wrong thread
-
Vivre I scare ibcspouse. When he use to stalk me by hiding in my bushes, I would bring him koolaid.......well he thought it might be "spiked" with PEBO pills......spouse ran screaming like a little girl. But then I got paranoid, and poured the koolaid out.......never be too careful. I mean, Bush sent those birds into that plane today, no telling what PEBO will be able to do as the Messiah. $$
-
PatMom, Thanks for letting us know what happened. That was an unbelievably childish thing to do. I was wondering why my posts were deleted when I tried to stay out of it. You are so right. MLK would not have liked this kind of nastiness. Supressing the freedom of anyone is not what he stood for.
For a minute there, I thought I was back in junior high. I am so glad those days are over. Now I just want to add again because I am so happy!
Three Cheers for Cam and her dear hubby!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hip Hip Hurray!
Hip Hip Hurray!
Hip Hip Hurray!
(Did I spell that right?)
Oh, IBC, I just remembered. I finished my last rad last year on MLK birthday. So we both have something to celebrate. I am a one year survivor! Free at last Free at last, Thank God we are Free at last!
They better not call me racist for quoting him.
-
IBC...Congrats and wishing you many many more beautiful days!
-
Moody, Bush did not send those birds into the plane. It had to be someone on the new Miracle team. After all, the plane crash got more attention than the presidents gracious speech.
Wouldn't it be great if the treatments than Cam had will mean great things for other women?
What a great day! I froze my buns off today, but who cares!
-
Actually we were speculating at how those birds were probably funded by Osama bin Laden, and they had tiny little back packs strapped to them with explosives. You know, "suicide" birds.
But your right Osama, Obama........who knows.....
-
Slap slap Moody ...
What are we wearing for Regurgitation Day?
-
Nice to see you ladies have really classed it up a bit here.
Really, truly impressive role models, all of you. You must feel so proud of yourselves for making constantly fun of someone (whether mentioning her name or not) with whom you have developed some sort of vindetta against.
Pathetic doesn't even begin to describe your hatefulness, Sherri.
-
$$
Barack Obama told Fox News there wasn't enough black Americans on TV. In response, Fox News has agreed to run "America's Most Wanted" 5 days a week. $$
Edited to add:
-
Sherri - quit lying through your teeth. Amy mentioned getting a copy of the Parade magazine's letter from Barack to his daughters and putting it on her Obama wall.
If you feel so good about yourself that you can just treat another human being like a punching bag, so be it. But don't be such a coward and play the innocent when I call you out on it.
I am really, really sick of the bullying.
-
Moody - thanks for showing your racist colors. So f'ing funny of you.
-
Racist? I thought it was called "profiling".
-
Sherri, Go read MY post. I know you didn't name Amy, but you referred specifically to her post. Quit playing innocent. If you can't own up to and act, then you shouldn't do it.
Moody - I am appalled by your blatantly racist "jokes", and yes, they have been reported.
-
AW man! The democrat ladies beat me to it, I was coming to delete my own post. They must have nothing to talk about on their own thread spending so much time here. I wouldnt know, because I don't read their threads, dont care who or what they are talking about, or if they are talking at all.
-
Oh and moody, I see you deleted your racist bull$hit post (another cowardly move, but not before I copied and pasted it to sent it to the mods.
-
If you have a complete set of salad bowls and they all say Cool Whip on the side, you might be a redneck.
-
djd, I don't care what you copy and paste. I may be blonde, but I am not stupid.....this is a PUBLIC thread, so if I am scared of someone copying and pasting, I wouldn't put something on a PUBLIC thread.
Lighten up, take a chill pill and don't think everything is about you.
-
Okay, let me re-phrase that ----- I USE to be blonde....before chemo

Now, here is the big question. Why are you over here defending "Amy"? Surely she is a big girl and can speak for herself.
*******
Sherri, I can defend anyone I want to - why do you care? It's really easy to talk tough on the boards, isn't it? I am not defending one person - I am simply standing up to cowardly bullies and saying enough is enough. I am disgusted by the bigoted statements from you. Let the mods take over. Let them ban me. I don't care.
-
Okay, I apologize if the joke I posted was offensive to anyone. I came back to delete it myself and see that it has been removed. I want to thank whoever removed it, as I understand and don't blame you.
I have also deleted any posts that I made regarding the joke to show my intentions as honest.
Anyway, just wanted to say "I'm sorry".

good one moody!. i still can't figure out why anyone would continue to read messages on a site they totally disagree with. the holy one will be president so why can't people be happy with that and stop bashing a good and gracious man. a mature mind can grasp that although policy agreements are not always there, our president is a person who follows his convictions and doesn't make decisions based on polls and public opinion. our president has gone out of his way to ensure a smooth transition unlike the one he received when he took office. i would never post on that thread because i do not agree with most of what is said. so why do they insist on coming here and criticizing. maybe it's my lack of education...i don't have a college degree much less a phd or something glorious like that. but i do have common sense and a strong sense of what is right and wrong and continue to believe in letting others live their lives. some horrible things have been said by the leader of the pack and that's ok but if ladies here respond, then they are evil. i for one will be on bc.org quite a bit on tuesday cause i sure in hell won't be in front of the tv, unless i am banned for not falling to my knees in adoration. i like many others hope the new pres. is successful but i'm old enough to see what is going on and it's not change. perhaps after tuesday, bush will be allowed to retire in peace and not be blamed for every thing wrong in the world. i'm confident that history will judge george w. bush as one of our better presidents.

JM - please, enlighten me. who is the "leader of the pack"? I ask because I don't think it's me. And I am sure as hell not a "follower" or member of any "pack".

The number one question that a soldier gets asked when he returns from war, is "did you kill anyone". It's a question that almost never will be answered by someone who was in combat. The only time I ever did give a response was when a young policeman asked me how do you deal with yourself and God, if you have taken another's life. I answered because I sensed he had a conflict in him about what to do if he ever had to draw his weapon. I first asked him why he and the other officers referred to suspects as perps, gangbangers or slimeballs. He said that is what all the older officers called them. I told him in war we always used terms like gook, or slope or dink for the same reason older policemen used their terms. If you depersonalize, or dehumanize a person, you are not aiming at a man, you are killing something less than human.
That is why racism and all the words that demean another is so frightful. If people are made less in the mind of one, then he can kill, harm, abuse without the filter of a conscience. An abusive husband doesn't beat his wife while calling her name. He hits while yelling bitch or whore or slut. Words do matter. It matters more that most of us will ever know.
Calling someone like Moody or Sherri a Racist matters. They do not have hate in their heart. Just as an abusive Husband or father cannot voice their feelings without violence, one that cannot intellectually defend an ideology or idea, resorts to screaming Racist.
