NEW PRESIDENTIAL LIMOUSINE ENTERS SECRET SERVICE FLEETPaulette, I've made your link shorter if you want to remove the original link from your post since its making the page too wide.
-
From AOL: Representative Jose Serrano (D) has introduced a bill in the House to abolish the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, which limits presidents to two consecutive terms or ten years in office.
-
On this day that President Bush gives his farewell speech to the nation, there are many things we need to be grateful about. The three that I place high on my list are
1, He kelp Al Gore from becoming President. Gore who was a multi personality nut case in the 2000 election without any ability to take a stand or position. His reaction to 9/11 would be to put all our armed forces in a "Lock Box" and then convince our enemies that they don't have to attack us, that we will drown anyway as the Ice caps melt next week.
2, He kelp John Kerry from being President. A gigolo and son of a gigolo that lied about knowing that he was a slovic Jew so he could run for office as an irishman in Boston. A man who became the only person to get an early out from Vietnam from a three different wounds that did not require treatment. A splinter from a self fired weapon. Rice in the butt from horsing around with blowing up a bag of rice, and a bruise on the arm from rapidly turning his boat in retreat. Not to mention betraying all vietnam vets.
3. Bush's low numbers kelp McCain from being elected. I do believe McCain would have been so willing to show his desire to reach across party lines so much, that he would have destroyed the Republican Base. We would have gotten the same liberal plans, but with a Republican as implementor
-
Sherri...I am sure he is also reading the economy book with the same title! LMAO!
-
Thank you Always!
-
Vivre---You are not annoying us! As one who reached 5 years on femara in November and declined the trial of an additional five years on either femara or a placebo, you have piqued my interest. After a few months off I still can't sleep even with 20mg of melatonin and additional sleep aids; But I have noticed some lifting of brain fog.
As one who is consumed by liver enzymes (because mine run high) or anything involving the liver, I am curious why you opted for 13C rather than DIM?
I also appreciate you mentioning iodine. I have been avoiding it for years after my Dermatologist told me to cut out of my diet.
I would appreciate if you could keep us updated. In the meantime I'm going to get myself some unprocessed grey sea salt with iodine---I figure it can't hurt.
-
ibc,
I completely agree with you regarding McCain. My biggest fear was that he would overreach to liberals so we would have a RINO (Republican in the name only) who would act as a liberal but get blamed as a republican.
-
OK so I just heard the official name for Bush hate addiction is
Bush Derangement Syndrome
I wonder whether the insurance companies will pay for the treatment
-
Hey Mr. Spouse.........I could not agree more with your post............I thought toward the end of the Presidential Race if I heard McCain say one more time about reaching across the isle I was going to have to stick a fork in my forehead (for the second time)............I am glad that McCain did not win........he was going to take the Republican party completely in the wrong direction (that would be to the left).........there would only be so much Sarah Palin could do..........and by the way he would have drugged her with him which also would be very bad for us Conservatives.........and that's all I got to say about that.........Shokk
-
Paulette, Loved the toon. I bet George Bush will love being able to look at someone else's caricature now-and we will too!
IBC-You are right on all three points. Do you know most people still think Kerry is Irish. When I tell them that his father took the name so he would fit into boston society they tell me I have been listening to that vast rt wing conspiracy. Actually, I learned it from his Biography on A & E. Again, this would have been front page news if it were about Bush.
I am stuck at home because I have no car. My son's was too frozen to start. So I decided to check out a little of the VIEW. Those women are still railing on Palin. That stupid Behar still says McCain would have won if not for her. I say he would have been blown out of the water if he had NOT picked her. The lefties are still so afraid of this women, they are going to continue to tear her down. They know that she appeals to the regular folks. Palin in '12!
$$$$$
You guys are right. I too am glad McCain lost. The GOP now has the opportunity to get some new blood. I hope Michael Steele leads the RNC. He is so level headed and just what we need. Get ready for a total collapse from Mr. No Clue What To Do and an the downfall of the dems.

ticky tacky ... $$$$$

Ok..I was going to post on the Obama thread, but then I would be stooping to the level of most of you who sneak over to the Positive Obama thread, read something, and come back over here and regurgitate it with your own pathetic spin.
First of all, this should be called the Risiculous Republican thread. Actually, you give "thinking, educated" Republicans a bad rap with your childish antics and stupid, hateful comments.I guess one of the things that bothers me most is that many of you go quoting the bible and talk about being Christians and ALL the good things you do for people. You may want to revisit that. The sad fact is you are all apparently living miserable lives that you spend so much time on these boards poking and prodding eachother along to make fun of, or attack others that don't share your same high opinion of this pathetic administration.
Obama is not "the one" nor is he the Messiah (to quote Shirley). What he is is a man with some common sense and some new ideas of how to get us out of the worst global mess in history. He will no doubt go down in history as one of the most inept leaders this country has ever seen. The man is incompetent. As for how Mr. Bush is soooo generous in telling Pres-elect Obama EVERYTHING he needs to know about what's coming (Shirley again) that's his J-O-B. I'm surprised Bush hasn't already high-tailed it out of town. By next week he will be happily ensconced in his "sleepy little bedroom community" (his 8500 sq ft home) and breathe a sigh of relief. You, dear ladies are all going to have to get a life.
So, have fun with your stupid little inside jokes ($$$$, lollipop, lollipop) and your glamour shots. You may want to take some time and say a prayer or two that Mr. Obama has some ideas as to how to fix SOME of the mess we're in, because frankly, we're screwed otherwise.
WOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!OBAMA 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
CORRECTION to paragraph 2,,,,, BUSH WILL NO DOUBT GO DOWN IN HISTORY........
-
Ivy,
I posted on the other thread and so did Rock. But the ladies over there do not want to engage into discussions where they could possible admit that Obama is not THE PERFECT ONE. We were completely ignored.
I tell you what I am going to d. I will post on the other thread right now and ask a question why is that when Obama plans to spend 3 times as much for inauguration as Bush nobody criticizes him. In Bush's case people were outraged that so much money was spent on ceremony instead of being given to the unfortunate people who needed them. This is a fair question to ask, but I would be very surprised that there will be even anyone there willing to discuss let alone admit this. Just wait and watch.
You, dear ladies are all going to have to get a life.
Oh no we are fine thank you. It's your friends on the other thread that would need to find something else to talk about besides their hate for Bush and presidential dog selection. In fact I think that we will enjoy watching you trying desperately to cling to the mantra of "change" when the Washington will be back to business as usual with the Cabinet made up of all the insiders.
Oh we have so much of fun ahead of us, you will not believe. I am not sure whether it is in traditions of Judeo-Christian values to enjoy others misery though
Or if the economy was not such a mess though
PS. I decided not to bother with the other thread, the otucome is too predicatble. But why was ivy's mpost deleted, it wa a perfect example of how we get under their skin and how desperate they get to hold on to their illusions. I've actually enjoyed it.

Haha! The truth hurts...28 minutes for my post to be gone.... have at it girls, I am so done with bc.org and their ILK (to quote SherriG)...have a good life everyone
-
Ijl, I'm not speaking for Ivy, but I will say that posts that try to bate the Obama supporters into arguments on the Positive Obama thread are ignored. Nothing personal - we just don't do cat fights, that's all...
The only other posts that are ignored on the Obama thread are the ones from folks who pretend to be trying to engage in intelligent conversation but who then come over here and call the Obama folks all kinds of names. Some of the very same folks cutting up Obama here with ugly reteric and stupid cartoons don't say the same <---- over there. I mean, c'mon, we know you think we are "intellectually inferior liberals" but dang, we're not totally stupid, LOL.
-
Madalyn,
All the answers to the inaguration cost question did not actually get to the core. All the reasons that were cited are valid BUT they should have been valid for Bush as well. And yet Bush was criticized and Obama justified , what gives?
-
I would like to ask posters on this thread to show some compassion here. As I've mentioned before there is an epidemic of Bush Derangement Syndrome. And while rich liberals in Manhattan have money for pschyatrists, a lot of people on the other thread do not.
As the result people like ivy come here to get it off their chest. And this is just the beginning as the hopes of CHANGE evaporate and with Buch/Chenney nowhere in site, the siutation will become more desperate. We need to get ready ! . We need to help our sisters.!Let them vent as much as they want ! For those of use with less tolerance, there is always "Ignore" button.
We all know they are in for rough time after the dust settles.
-
Good news for Republicans:
Ron Burris got his seat.
------------------
I don't believe Obama is who he says he is and that his true colors will come out ... Then again, he may be just a puppet with someone else pulling the strings ... or several people pulling his strings.
-
ilj -- don't feed the trolls. Ignore them. That person didn't post a challenging post, it was a cat-fight post as Felicia would call it.
-
Felicia,
I'm not speaking for Ivy, but I will say that posts that try to bate the Obama supporters into arguments on the Positive Obama thread are ignored.
And posting Bush hateful remarks on Respectful Republicn thread and telling us to get a life is OK? You must be kidding.
BTW, I never ATTACKED Obama, in fact I was pretty positive about him. I just questioned some of his nominations. Is that OK to do or the only thing you are allowed to post is an unconditional praise for Obama and his actions. If the latter is the case , they you can see why some of us here are justified in calling the other thread posters "intellectually inferior".
Look at this thread some fo us like Bush some of us don't. Some of us wanted McCain to get elected while others are glad he lost. We have no problems disucssing issues.
-
I think you'd fall under the "bate Obama supporters into arguments" category, ijl. You may not have think you attacked him, but how you phrased your "questions" were quite grating. It's like me coming over here and asking something about why Bush is so out of touch or something. It's edgy by nature. Do you get that or are you trying to be obtuse?
It is NEVER ok to justify calling a whole group of people intellectually inferior I can't even believe you tried to justify such stupidity. My only problem with you has been how you've conducted yourself in the OBAMA thread - I could give a damn what you say amongst your cronies here, as long as the personal attacks are kept to a minimum, which too many here just don't seem to know how the heck to do.
I'm fine with debating the issues and all, but you need to come correct. Until you do that, I'm putting your tail right back on ignore...
And, in the immortal words of Martin Lawrence, "Run tell THAT."
-
Put your specs on and read the original post again, Sherri - I said TRY to bate...
-
I'm here purely for the comic relief!
-
Suz -- you're right, even Bush would have done better if read that and learned how to pronounce nuclear!
But Felicia ---It is NEVER ok to justify calling a whole group of people intellectually inferior I can't even believe you tried to justify such stupidity
Amy is the one who is saying that Republicans are intellectually inferior, not ilj, she was repeating that line of stuff going on over there.
-
Can you believe they flew into a flock of birds (by one report) or one bird (another report)?? And I thought I was cold ... imagine landing in that river!!
-
And ijl wasn't the person I got it from; it was SherriG. Get your facts straight, Rock...
Don't be offended if I no longer respond to this drivel, ok? I'm putting the folks I unblocked back on ignore and sticking to the thread where not only everybody knows my name, but they aren't in any way, shape or form disrespectful in how they use it. But "ilk" still cracks me up!
Have fun, repubs - and thanks for the ha-has...
-
Don't get it twisted - I'd HEARD the word before (they teach a lot in graduate school, LOL) - just hadn't heard it in a while is all...
I'm out. Enjoy yourselves, folks...
-
Here's the facts ... This is a quote of Amy --
serene- rest assured, we don't need to worry about bumping into any repugs at mensa meetings. Liberal is open minded and free thinking and an understanding of the grays on the spectrum of black and white. Conservative is one dimmensional, rudimentary seeing black and white, right and wrong. The world is far more complicated than that.
Maybe she didn't say the words "intellectually inferior" but how else would you categorize that statement? Felicia, you guys over there do not have halos on your head, so get a grip and stop actin' all saintly. Put us all back on ignore. Many of you over there paint the whole Republican party with broad strokes. And make sure to tell Grace that you ladies are caught up in the fray cuz she think's y'all are just above it and was raising her glass to you. LOL
