Dearest Deb:
I am all teary reading your letter. I want to remind you that you are the first line of my prayers each night, and have so many others here right by your bedside, holding your hands. NONE of us wants you to suffer needlessly. Whatever your decisions in the coming days, we support and admire your courage and bravery and concern for others.
Let us pray together:
Dear Father,
I have a disease which I have often feared. I am afraid. I am lonely. Questions seem to crowd my mind: Will I be cured? Will there be pain? How long will I live? How will my family handle this? I ask with all my heart that I be healed. But, if my healing is not in Your great plan, I trust You to be with me through it all. I trust You to give me peace, to let me live with hope, to relieve any pain, and to let me know Your presence. I trust You to bring my loved ones close to me during this illness, that we might support each other, and that Your great hands might support us all. I pray that from now on, whether sick or well, I will live each day as if it were eternal, and trust my eternity to You.
In Jesus' name, Amen. -
SloneRangers......... each of these posts above is so genuine, so sincere, so direct to the heart -- my heart and the heart of anyone who reads here. I am certain that the posts above are an enormous support to our SloneDeb, as they are to anyone who would visit this thread.
Queen of Kentucky. I can not imagine how you've found the grace to continue on, thru all of this. I can not imagine how you've been so civil and so kind, always thoughtful of others. You exemplify so much of what I aspire to be. Your willingness to continue is an offering to each of us. May you always remember us, as we will always remember you.
What is the role of pain in this life? What is the point of this bodily suffering? Of course you are discouraged, as you are only human.
Read the prayers of these wonderful women above and let their words soak into your story. You are never alone Deb. We are all gathered here, to cheer and console, to encourage and sustain.
I like the little bumper sticker that says:
"Everything works out in the end........ if things haven't worked out, it's not the end."

Dear Deb and all friends,
Another day in the intricate weave of breast cancer and our lives, with arms held out wide to you who suffer daily pain, loss of function, disquieting side effects from chemotherapy and day to day worry. Without sounding trite, I perceive quieting of angst and strength in spirit with words and recognition from kindred souls such as on bc.org. I hope you do too.
Deb and Kbug, and Triple Neg, and Flalady, DebC, and so many others, special thoughts to you ladies and men in the midst of a difficult path. If you stumble, may we help you up. If you tire, may we give you support. If you thirst, may we port your water. We are at your side in this journey, even if through this world wide web which seems smaller with passing year. May it continue to be so; may countries open their arms to freedoms not close their people off.

Dear Deb. I don't get back here very often, but stopped in today to see how you are doing. It's wonderful to see you are posting again. Wish I were closer, although I don't really know what I could do other than offer my support. I keep you in my prayers, and have never stopped praying for that miracle for you. I've added your daughter now to those prayers as well.
Hang in here with us, Deb. You are such an inspiration to me. Sending cyber hugs to you.
Always,
Gracie

Slonedeb. I know that your mind is in over-drive for your daughter today. We will surround you both with our prayers, as she confronts the concerns, the waiting and the road ahead.
We will surround you with our continued prayers and support..... regarding your liver's functioning and how that relates to your energy level. Will send you light. Will send you love. Will surround you with our caring and encouragement.
I'm so proud of you. I'm so proud to "know" you.
I'll never forget the first time I was here in the chatroom and your name popped up on the screen: Slonedeb. I got a shiver. Seeing your name deb in your signature was so very reassuring..... (I'm not the only "Deb" going thru this). Then you were outspokenly a person of faith -- as witnessed by your contributions in the chat and I was immediately and forever "bonded" to you.
You have taught so many, so much by your resillience. No matter what the outcome, in the next few days for your daughter -- you are such a role model for her, as your mother was for you. You've been teaching her all about "riding out storms" for quite some time now.
I pray that you have some peace today. I pray that she has peace in the process ahead. I pray that her medical team is at the very top of their efforts on her behalf and that all of everyone's focus and energy be concentrated on her support, in the midst of the unknown.
Thank you for using your energy to check in here with us.

Footprints Angel, thank you for your selection of profound words from Isiah. I will lean on them as I go throughout my day.

Dropping by to wish you good night. I hear next week is going to be cold, even down south. Perhaps some soup in the house, and comfort food will help you and DH through the nights. I'm glad you have an electric blanket, Deb. I don't have one, and as we keep the thermostat down to spare energy, find I often will awake chilled. I need to buy some blankets for us.
Peace for you and a good nights sleep. Prayers for your daughter too.

A loving circle of women with faith who are coping with disease and caring for others....
here's a prayer for all of us
Loving Lord Jesus, whose hands are underneath our lowest feelings to support us as we rest in you. Hold us in this dark place and sustain our lives with your hope. Let the light of your love warm our hearts, and your Holy Spirit, the comforter, be with us to lift us up. Amen.

Slondeb. SloneRangers. Friends.
It is a treasure to be able to offer encouragement to one another -- in the midst of our lives, such as they are..... filled with laughter and sorrow, reflection and friendship.

But Like Faith was saying, We are here to help one another threw and find a rainbow(in my words) Alot alike.
Father, instill in me a reason for hope. Bring, I pray, calm to the raging storm of my life. I am afraid of the cancer, but I am not afraid of You. Help me place my trust not in the well-meaning doctors, nurses, nutritionist and clergy who attend my needs, but You and You alone. Use them I pray, as conduits of Your grace, and bring me the healing I know You will bring me if You so desire. I offer my humble prayer in the name of the Great Physician, Jesus Christ. Amen
-
Amen Footprints. What a uplifting prayer and am thankful for all you prayer warriors. God is still on the throne and in control. We are the ones feeling out of control many times.God bless all my bc sisters.....

Slonedeb. We are all packed up and ready to depart for some time in Florida. Before we can take off I've got to spend the day @ the recording studio, to do that last step of "mastering" the project.
I just wanted you to know that we're taking off and it's likely to be a couple of days before I am hooked back to the web.
We are going to surprise my dad for his 80th birthday party.
I know that I can trust all of our SloneRangers to keep you company.
Hugs and encouragement.

I'm still keeping your daughter in my prayers as well. When will she have her results??
