moodyk13,
Thanks for the quick reply. It must be PMS then, nice to hear it since I really like all the ladies on this thread.
It happened to me a few times with that unexpected surprise, it usually happens when I am stressed or travelling. My obgyn said that as I was getting close to menapause age, and that is natural.

Okay, so you're just going to run with Shirley's misinterpretation of the quote. Have fun with that.
I didn't interpret the quote.
I just read it and it implied......well, I thought perhaps she thought that Bush didn't do enough bc research. No biggy.

ijl Okay I went back 2 pages and I agree with your posts on this page, so I didnt comment on them. On page 173, I agreed with every one except the one about bush and cancer thing.
The obama lady wasnt saying bush caused breast cancer, she was just correlating 2008/bush/bc all in one. no biggie though, and certainly wouldnt cause anyone here that I know of to ignore.
So all okay now? I love you
ijl
P.S----Oh! Except the one about the inferiority complex. dont feel inferior to me for sure, now Rock is a diff story, she is beautiful, but me? Na......just join us! put up a fab pic so we can gush over you!
-
Moody, boring. You keep us laughing, and I have it on good authority that from 1986 to 1992 you were a legend in the never gonna be boring book in N Georgia. Now your legacy is in showing people the light. Never boring.
What I like about this thread, (not trying to turn this into a lovefest) is that as Republicans we can disagree with the fundamentals of our party. Like bush, hate Bush, like Clinton, hate him, abortion, war, bail outs, civil liberty vs keeping us safe. But it is as the title of the now gone Mcainiac chose, the Respectful...... If any one attacks one of us, a loved one or child of ours, the whole group is ready to open a whole six pack of wupp arse on them. On other threads, the idea of disagreeing on any subject gets you on ignore.

ijl....MENOPAUSE????? NOOOOOOO!!!! Please dont tell me that!!!!! The whole reason I wont take Tamoxifen is I dont want to go through menopause when I am only 42!!!!!!!!
-
Ya know.......I think I remember something about PMS. How many years ago was that? 'Course, then something happened..........
-
ibcspouse you are killing me.......I might have wrote the book, but you published it.
Funny, I am sitting here trying to just remember 1986-1992! Those were some of my "wild" times, so it's all kind of "fuzzy" LOL
Edited to add:
P.S. The PMS thing and reference to "surprises"........was just for you and I was laughing the whole time I was typing as I knew you'd love it....
-
ilj, I don't know why you would think anyone is ignoring you! But as far as bannings go: I am glad that they have the ability to do it. Will I come out and support people who are banned? Nope. Because like in many cases, we don't have all the facts. This is a private board and we post at the will of the admins/moderators. This is not a gov't owned publicly held site. We have rules to follow.
As far as Amy is concerned, she has not been over "here" causing trouble but I don't follow her posts everywhere to be able to see what kinds of posts were made to others in other threads, nor do any of us have access to people's PM's. We simply do not have the facts to support either side. Apparently, she is not banned but was asked to suspend herself for a period of time. According to a poster, she is free to post and has chosen not to.
I certainly don't think the mods do things "willy-nilly" and for no reason --- we just don't know the reason nor do they have to explain it to us.
-
moody,
Remember that before menopause we have para-menopause that can take 10 years or so. Actually I also declined Tamoxifen. I am 48 and getting close there and quite frankly I don't think I would mind it too much when it comes. Wouldn't it be nice not to bother with these monthly events , actually for me it is every three weeks now? But I don't look forward to all this emotional imbalance thing I have to go through.
-
WOW, Y'all have been chatty while I was out walkin. ijl, as moody says, if we agree with a comment, we often do not reply to it, but it is great to have your input.
IBC, thanks for sharing your pic of the lovely Cam. She is lucky to have you to keep her laughing all these years. I hope this year brings her good health. Tell her to join us sometime?
Moody. Thanks for the list of the daringdos of Bush 2. I do believe that history will be fairer and that someday there will be real peace in the middle east, because bush had the kahunas to put his legacy on the line in order to free people from the tyranny of Sadaam, who was a weapon of mass destruction all on his own.
Shirley, we still have PMS. Except now it stands for Post Menopause Spaciness
-
IBC, YOU are pretty witty yourself. We have two of you. And, yes, I think we need to get mushy.
-
RBM,
I think it's obvious that we disagree on this ban issue. Today they ban Amy, tomorrow it can be me and the day after you. So I rather speak up today.
-
ijl, I'll take Moody's word for it that I'm not ignoring you because of your posts. I don't have time to go back and read...LOL
Vivre, Yep, they've been chatty. I've got one more "pic" and it's of Moody.
I hope this stays cuz I didn't go through photobucket.
-
vivre you crack me up with your PMS....LMAO
ijl Thanks!! That makes me feel so much better. I dont want to go through menopause at all, but since I dont have a choice, I want it to be way far away. I dont want my mid section to "thicken" and everyone I know that has been through it has a thicker middle. Even my "use to be skinny" aerobic buddies. They all have gained 10 - 15 pounds.
And with regards to Bush and all the $$ his administration has poured in to educating children in other countries........It is very possible that one of those kids could grow up and discover a vaccine to prevent bc. Maybe even find the cure to bc.......no one knows. But one thing I do know, uneducated children do NOT grow up and discover vaccines and cures.

Now I gotta go!
-
Shirley I am ROFL!!!!!!!!! Love the pic!!!!!!!!!!
-
One more thing before I go....MOODY, I didn't know anything about the tummy thickening during meno. But I can tell you one thing....I DON'T MISS the alternative. IBC, please don't be embarrassed. Vivre, I do have the PMS you've just described...LOL At least now I know!
-
I thought the pic looked a lot like you.....SKINNY! and big boobed! Well, at least one.
-
-
moody,
I do see that some of my friends get a bit of tummy right before menopause when they had none before. I wonder if that will happen to me as I had DIEP and supposedly they relocated all my fat cells above
-
Shirley,
ijl, I'll take Moody's word for it that I'm not ignoring you because of your posts.
Then why do you ignore me
Sorry I could not resist. It's just the way you said it LOL
-
Maybe just your boobies will get bigger then.......hmmmmm...maybe I shoulda had fat injections up there to. LOL
-
Moody,
I had a unilateral mastectomy, if my new boobie is going to grow and the other stay the same , I will be in trouble.
-
ijl, I thought if you had your own fat put in your new boob when/if you gain weight both boobs would be in sync....the "fake" (reconstructed) boob would grow too!
Darn, I just started thinking AFTER I put my brain back in my skull. I just went shopping for new mastectomy bras and got my new prosthesis. I don't dare lose weight. My prosthesis will be too big and so would my six new bras cuz my other boob will lose fat. And my two LE sleeves will be too big. And my one glove will be too big. I guess I could STUFF my bra. That sounds so teenage-ish. No, I didn't stuff my bra when I was a teen. But I know a girl that did..that's another whole story for another setting, but funny.
-
Shirley, excuses, excuses. . .
To you pre menopausal girls, I know how you feel. I was worried about missing my monthly friend, but it is great not to worry about it, especially when travelling. I gained a lot of weight in the middle which I think contributed a lot to my bc. But I have managed to lose it with good nutrition and upping my weight training, so do not fret it.
-
Shirley,
I was actually worried about my new breast as it does have a stomach fat and therefore could be more prone to gaining weight if we accept a premise that women develop some tummy around menopause. We'll see for now they are a good match,
-
We just watched "American Carol" movie that came out on DVD. If you haven't done so, do yourself a favor and watch it. It's really funny and makes fun of all things liberal for a change.
We all ned a good laugh.
-
I want to see that movie! I wonder if Netflix has it?
I hope your tummy fat doesn't grow in your one boob. Never thought of that. LOL
-
It's late at night so mind is not at full speed, but will someone explain VP elect's statement...."the greatest threat to the economy lies in doing too little rather than not doing enough" Would this be a Tina Fey skit if Palen said this, or I am too dense to understand the difference between too little and not enough.
-
Herbie, the spandex must be around your brain!
Just kidding, I'm thinking he meant to say that they need to do "enough" but that statement is poorly phrased.
