Grape seed oil, huh? Sounds interesting. I was listen to Fox (who else) the other day and a doctor said to use Sunflower Oil (I think..LOL). Of course Olive Oil is good to if you can stand smelling like Olive oil. Anyway, she said there's bad stuff in our creams..DUH!...like estrogen. The gal said estrogen was good for us, right? The doc said no...bc....of course the gal wouldn't know anything about estrogen and the "badness" of it unless she had our problem.
I used to take grapeseed extract. Need to get more. I take fish oil, curcumin, green tea extract WITHOUT SUGAR, Rosemary..LOL, mag citrate, calicum citrate, D3, CoQ10...I think that's all. And it gets expensive. I order my stuff from Vita Cost. Now I need to exercise (been saying that for a long time) and eat right (been saying that for a long time) and lose weight (been saying that for a long time). I was losing weight before bc. I hate bc.

I believe Israel has every right to defend themselves. Obama said while he was there that if missles were been launched around his children he would do everything he could to defend them...sooooo...he should be pro-Israel. Bush is keeping him informed.

I know that the president is really never truly "on vacation" but along with the bailout changes for CEO's, I think that the presidents have too many vacations, too!!!
------------
August 2007
"Bush on track to become the vacation president," Julie Mason headlined in the August 9, 2007, edition of the Houston Chronicle:[1]"On Thursday, Bush left for a weekend in Kennebunkport, Maine, and his family's summer compound, Walker's Point. On Monday, he heads to his Crawford retreat, where he has spent all or part of 418 days of his presidency, according to Mark Knoller, a CBS News White House correspondent and meticulous record-keeper.
"...The presidential vacation-time record holder is the late Ronald Reagan, who tallied 436 days in his two terms. At 418 days, and with 17 months to go in his presidency, Bush is going to beat that easily."
"I guess you could look at it this way -- the more he's on vacation, the less damage he can do to the country," Pam Spaulding wrote August 12, 2007--------------------
Now that was in 2007 ... how many more "vacation days" did he take, I don't know! It seems to me that the President should have no more days than the average American. One year off??? We paid to have him BE the President, not a 7 year term, 8 years. Can't the guy just commit to doing the job for 8 years? It's not like the office is a career job.
Ok, I know you guys will disagree but I think some clear boundaries and work schedule should be expected from the president, regardless if he is a Dem or Rep.
-
To vivre and all you haters of skinny.....1st of all "skinny" sounds "sickly" and I am not "sickly"....other than this little cancer thing, i am perfect health......LOL 2nd, I might be thin, but I have CELLULITE real bad and it is embarrasing SO this should make all very happy
I am all for boot camp, but ya'll need to come here to GA to do it so we can use my gym
Shirley knows where it is as she is stalking me.......LMAO
And speaking of Shirley, thanks for the CD! That was very kind of you and I enjoyed it very much!!
-
I agree rock that is too much, however, he is never truly on "vacation" he may not be at the white house, but he still has cabinet meetings like every day- on the phone when he isnt there and he is still making decisions and talking to leaders etc even when on "vacation".
-
All of congress is on vacation, so why should the pres be any different? It is Christmas after all. My DH hasn't worked much at all in the past week. Most businesses slow down for the holidays. The pres can always be reached and AF1 has everything on board in case of an emergency.
Blago is trying to one up his fellow Illinois dems by nominating a very solid black candidate and long time Illinois pol to take Obama's seat. Roland Burris is a guy people cannot argue with. He has no future political aspirations so he is a safe bet. He gets a good pension after two years in the Senate and walks away happy. By nominating him, Blago puts the urgency for impeachment on the back burner, giving himself more time to plead his case, and time for more secrets to come out on others. It is so much fun to see the Illinois dems fighting among themselves. They are setting the stage for a republican resurgence in Illinois(if someone can just figure out a way to get rid of the zombie vote in crook county). The dems will do the same thing at the national level. Obama and his Chicago thugs will not play nice with the DC diehards. They will soon be at each others throats. People will see the truth and get fed up with the dems, just as they have in Illinois and the GOP will rise again.
Michael Medved was talking about this Russian guy who is claiming that America will have a civil war in the next two years. He claims the west coast will soon belong to China, the south will belong to Mexico, etc, etc, because America will be too weak to stem an invasion. Where he is really nutso is he claims Alaska will go to Russia. Boy is he underestimating Sarah Palin and all those independent Alaskans! I guess this guy is getting a lot of press in Russia! What a joke!

i must say...i sometimes read the obama thread but have never posted there, BUT that jadeen or whatever her/his name is...is one nasty person. rock, you look beautiful to me. there is more than enough pain and suffering with bc without someone who says they also have bc being so mean to anyone else. if she finds bc.org so dam offensive then why doesn't he/she stay the hell away. i thought there was a rule of conduct against saying offensive comments to other posters. maria
-
Maria, I don't know why this person wants to personally attack me. Don't know why she is being like a 2nd grader and calling out how I look or why she is bringing my daughter into it. I cannot fathom the taunts and baiting. If she wants to be posting about Obama and against Dems then she should do so but she comes over hear and is just plain nasty.
I truly think that she is a poster that we've all seen before under a different moniker. But most of us have guessed that. One person would not come in here out of nowhere and have so much venom and vitriole.
-
Well shoot Rocky I missed all the excitement..................did someone say you were beauty challenged?............After all they are Democrats.........the hierarchy of tolerance..........right?............I thought they embraced ugly............weird............the down trodden............the addicts........the social outcast...........hmmmm..........the skinny......opps sorry Moody.........I mean the athletic Greek goddesses.............oh wait.........thats not right.........I mean heroin skinny.........that's it............what Rocky are you just too ugly?..........ha..........I think someone is jealous........and it goes without saying that all children are completely off limits period...............Shokk
-
shokk your killing me.....LMAO
p.s. thats "Ms. Heroin Skinny" to you
-
Shirley
I will never be able to get caught up reading this thread, but I just wanted to say WELCOME BACK! Maybe we will be able to get together some time in January. I don' t need to see my onc til June 12th, unless something comes up... I hope nothing comes up. I still keep getting the neck ache, but it comes and goes. You know what I think when I get any pains...
Oh, and I can't help it if I'm thin... I'm not really too thin anymore, 'cause I have this HUGE belly and I can't get rid if it, no matter WHAT I do!!!
Happy New Year!
Harley
-
Harley, I think the secret is to be a sandal wearing , health food eatin', republican! That's the secret!
-
Just for the record, I am not wearing any sandals. It is winter and I prefer toastie toes. I even wear socks to bed because my feet are always cold, so take that you California dreamer and Southern Belles. Some of us live in the real world!
-
It''s cold here ... 45º now but it will be 41º soon ... high in the 70's tomorrow .... need my snow suit!
-
It was about 50 degrees in my part of Norhern California with a nice sunshine. And then I saw a couple walking by my house and she was wearing a parka and gloves. She must be from Florida
As far as Israel goes I was pleasantly surprised when I read that the incoming EU Chezch president publicly supported Israel saying that it had no choice but defend itself. That of course followed outgoing French EU president who condemned Israel.
Rock, I don't think that Obama could really be pro-Palestenian when you consider who he selected for his chief of staff
-
So now is the time for New years resolution... Diet, healthy eating, exercise, gym membership, After much thought I have decided that to me, the New years resolution I have chosen, is to put all skinny, healthy personal trainers, snow skiers, thin Italian cooksl, and vitimin eaters on ignore. They can have their six pack abs, I will stay with my keg abs.
I believe the one saving grace with PE OB is his almost narcacistic preoccupation with Image. He voted present so that the greater number of people would not think less of him for his votes or views. He managed to go thru an entire campaign with a wink and a nod. He could say he is against same sex marriage, but the gay and les group believe he is for it, only saying it for political reasons so once elected it will be OK, the same with NAFTA unions think one thing while is advisors reasure Canada, his evolving Iraq 18 months always beginning the next month, His both sides of late term abortions. (also he goes to a gym)
He does not want to be president, he wants to be preceived as the greatest president...solve world hunger, end wars, stop world poverty, heal the world. He may have learned from Bill, to have the image you must be able to display concern, never do a thing, just be concerned, talk about how you want it to be, but never do much, because once you sign your name to a bill, then you have a record that can be looked at. That scares OB more than anything, to do something that history will not like. One of the main reason Bill was looked at as a good President, was because he never did anything. Maybe that is what a good president is. Just do no harm.
-
Shirley,
No, I don't remember the post about liver enzymes rising. That must be for the pill poppers instead of us who drink the tea? I only drink 3 cups a day.
Happy New Year all, I'm buying sandals right away. Nope, I do not belong in the skinny crowd. I do have all your names though. Shokk did a good job in exposing you all. We all fell into her trap and fessed up.
I'm off to help the Indians get richer. I'm going to an Indian reservation casino. Doing fact-finding, of course. The closest room I could find was 20 miles away. Casinos might be recession proof. I'll let you all know.
-
Roctobermom,
I live in NC, but it still gets cold here, so no sandals for me, til it warms up again.
Happy New Year, everyone!
Harley -
I hope PEBHO's policy will be to do no harm, we can always hope. All the talk of socialism on the other side had me concerned for our future. So far, his appointments don't seem to support that drastic of a change.
If only wearing sandals were the secret. I'm afraid for me, it will have to be commitment and self-discipline. I lost weight through this whole BC process, but I still should lose about 20 more pounds to be at a better BMI. I know that exercise needs to be a component of my plan, also.
Here's to a happy and healthy New Year!
-
ibcspouse you cant ignore me. Your curiosity would get the best of you and besides, hard to ignore the person you stalk. Yes, I saw you in that tree with binoculars.
Its only 46 deg here today. COLD! I too always wear socks and I use those hand warmer things like they use at nail salons.
-
Mr. Spouse I agree with everything you had to say well except the gym membership.......it's either that or my health insurance and concerning my present health situation I must stick with with the health insurance........
For you sandal wearing healthy Republicans there is always tube socks...........no need to put the sandals away for winter........or if you really want to get into the grove hemp socks........
Mr. Spouse when it comes to narcissism image is everything..........the insides are hollow..........their perception of how they are viewed is the utmost of their existence........they must be admired because they cannot admired themselves.....it is not how one feels about himself but how everyone else feels about him.........why is President Bush viewed as a bad President by 77 percent of the country......because he did what he thought was best for this country regardless not what was thought to be best for this country.........every policy that he signed I truly believe he did it for us......not for the press, not for other countries, not for his own self image.........many of us here on these bc boards will not live long enough to really understand how Bush will be viewed in history by the historians.........but in the long run I think that it will be better then it is today.........IMO.........Shokk
-
shokk
I agree with you, the only worry I have is the media of today, being the historians of the future.
Moody, that was not me in the tree, I was behind the bush.
-
spouse it must have been Shirley in the tree then. Shirley you are too old to be climbing trees! Sit by spouse behind the bush.
-
Mr. Spouse all I have got to say about the media is "sc**w them".........(sorry if I have offended anyone).........I am sick and tired of the bias............The New York Times.......the LA Times......CNN.........PMSNBC...........look at the way they are reporting the conflict between Hamas and Israel........it is disgraceful........like I heard yesterday somewhere how long we put up with Cuba firing missiles into Miami.........30 minutes........45 minutes........15 years?.........I think not.........jeez what makes me so angry is the media really truly believes we are stupid......(the public)...........what they can say and do whatever they want and we are going to just believe everything?........pleazzzzzzzzzz.......give me a break.........now I am going to get up and stomp off to the rest room.......stupid liberal bias corrupt media..........Shokk
-
I am raising my "virtual" glass of champagne to wishall of us and our families a happy, healthy and prosperous 2009!
I HOPE so much that Obama will CHANGE bad luck of 2008
-
Rocky, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!! I don't know exactly what that monster said, but don't pay it any mind. That's exactly what it wants.
Shirley
-
IBC, you are too funny. In your next life (I don't believe in reincarnation) you will be a WEALTHY commedian. I swear, you come up with some of the funniest things. But, so does Shokk. I'm sitting here laughing my B off!
Moody, that was no me in the tree. I did climb A tree when I was a kid. It was me behind IBC in the bushes. Must have been one of the skinny, healthy ones in the tree. Heck, sometimes it's all I can do to climb my stairs! LOL I think I'll get one of those things that counts how many steps you take a day. Then I'll post it.....LOL I'll be sure to be on the treadmill that day.
Rosemary, my PA said the people there at Duke were DRINKING a lot of green tea. And their enzymes "grew." I drink a lot of Lipton teas w/sugar. Will you EVER talk me out of my sweet southern tea? I believe you and Susie really tried. I only take one capsule of green tea. I believe Constantine believes we should take at least two.
Rocky, the prez is working. He was on satellite TV with Cheney today. And I heard President Elect is having a "working" vacation.
Fitzgerald, as I'm sure you have heard, has now asked for a 90 day delay for Blago's trial. I bet that threw a thorn in Obama's side. Man, that Blago guy is NUTS! I hope Blago doesn't do some stupid signing of bills. Geez!
Shirley
-
Oh, forgot to mention, Moody, I like you avatar. But I don't like you.
Shirley
Here's a Christmas morning pic of me doing something while the cowboy was shooting his shooting thing. Forgive the way I look..looking down makes my throat hang lower...LOL...and that bathrobe makes me look fatter...LOL...and I had not brushed my teeth or hair YET....so, this is a bad one. But I JUST had to show you skinnies why I DO NOT like you. Now you'll understand! And, I'm embarrassed.
Plus you can't tell, but I'm missing a boob..sorry IBC. I dare Jarhead (or whatever it's name is) to make fun of me.
-
What tree? I don't see a tree. Are my eyes that bad?
Shirley, you have to DRINK the green tea. Skip the pills. I am having some now, so nice on a cold day. I did manage to get in a 4 mile walk. It was a nice brisk 15 today. Y'all are having a heat wave if it is 46 in your neck of the woods. Gee, you might need to put on a coat?
Blago won't be signing anything. They are so busy fighting and planning the impeachment in Springfield that they are not even thinking about legislating. That is actually good, the more they try to do, the worse things get. It will be interesting now to see if the dems seat Burris for Obama's seat, or vote not too and risk being called racist. It was a sly move by Blago. It will be so much fun to watch them all go after each other in the next few months. Maybe a lot more of the politically corrupt in Illinois will be exposed and all the bums will get tossed. Oh yeah, I forgot. Some of them are moving to DC. Lucky for us all.
-
UH OH! I'm in trouble now. I messed up the page. And my picture is closer up because it's too big..DARN! Well, I guess you'll have to increase your screen unless I can fix this.
