Gas price survey

I saw 1.99 in MA last night. Felicia, what is going on in NY?
-
It is $1.79 in central New Jersey.
-
Now dropped to $2.19 a mile from my house, and 2 blocks from the swim center it is $2.11
Heard it will drop a little more through the holidays, and by February will start climbing again!
RATS
And the cost of food is still high--haven't seen it drop one bit. Dozen eggs was $4.99, however, the cage free-vegetarian fed eggs were $3.79 doz. Interesting, you would think the "natural" eggs would be the higher price. Finally I get a deal on something natural and/or organic. Now, if I could just figure out an egg diet I could save some dough.

ADK,
NY has a high gas tax. I live on the NY/NJ border and the five mile drive into NJ to get gas is almost always worth it. It averages about .30 per gallon cheaper.
-
Between $1.92 and $1.97 in central MA. I just filled up with my supermarket card, though, and saved another .30/gal. I paid $1.67!!!
This is the first time my fill 'er up total has been under $40 in a long, long while.
Speaking of this, someone told me today that they had heard (and this may be totally untrue) that in the coming year or so the govt. plans on taxing gasoline to bring it up to about $3.50/gallon. Has anyone heard anything like that? Is it one of those urban legends???
-
Tina, nothing would surprize me when it comes to gas. I still wonder what it is is some of the states across America. Not all the states have chimed in.
If your state is not on the survey please post and let us know.
-
Western Arkansas, $1.63
Just drove up from Houston, Filling up in Houston, looking at a refinery, gas was 1.83 three hundred miles north, still in Tx it was 1.65
-
$1.95/gallon here in Suburb of Chicago. Still higher in Cook county cause of the taxes.
Nicki
-
Yeah!!! $1.99 down in Southern California!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to FILL UP!
-
I saw a station near my house that was $1.97. Given that we're near DC and prices are usually high here that's good news!
However, I did pay $2.54 for half a gallon of milk. I'd like to see that come down.
But, the farmer who paid high prices for fuel and feed last summer can't really ask for his money back. If he goes out of business then we're in trouble.
Probably it'll take 6 months for processed food to come down.
-
Rose was that it in Northern Va? I'm a NOVA transplant...lol I lived in Loudoun Co most of my life.
-
Paid $1.96 Gallon on Saturday 11/22 - I live on the west coast of Fla -as far west as you can go without being in the Gulf Of Mexico, if I just cross over onto the mainland gas is usually around 5 cents cheaper than ours.
-
Western CT...... $1.89
-
Northern Rhode Island-Southern Ma 1.97 range....
-
Hey all, come on up to Canada, we are paying approx $2.80 a US gallon ( $0.86 per litre) we were up in the summer as high as $1.50 per litre, approx $5.40 a US gallon! The kicker, we ship out most of our own oil!
We are a pretty country though!
-
I saw gas for $1.88 a gallon yesterday at two stations in Paradise, CA .. most other stations were $1.95 or $1.99 a gallon. Great to see it fall below $2!!
Doreen
-
In my part of Ontario, Canada it's down to 73.6 / litre. For some reason prices in our town are one of the lowest in Ontario. Much better than almost 1.30 /litre in the summer.
-
Yikes - $4.99 for a dozen eggs ???!!!? highway robbery. Just saw $1.85 a gallon here in Tucson Arizona. Woo hoo!
-
We need a food survey too it seems. $4.99 for eggs is just crazy..... someone posted $5.00 bread too.
-
I went to the grocery store closer to me (as opposed to the one on the other side of town that is cheaper) to find my favorite dill pickles. My regular supermarket stopped carrying them (WTH is up with THAT?!?) but the closer supermarket had them for $2.19 about a month ago. Saturday, they were $3.69! I almost fell over...
My grocery bill has been steadily 30% higher than what I normally shell out for about six months now. Seems to be getting worse. No idea what the answer to that is, but I have a feeling that if food prices do come down, it'll happen around the time gas starts going back up...
Gas down to $2.09 here in Upstate, NY - whoo-hoo! About daggone time...
-
Gas here in western Missouri was $1.37 yesterday. I agree about the food prices. I went to Aldi's, which used to be very cheap, and prices are way up there also. I'm paying about $3.50 for a loaf of whole grain bread.
-
Thought I'd chime in for southern Indiana. Here in Georgetown (which is just a few miles north of Louisville, KY) the gas is $1.64.
If they'd keep the prices this low, it sure would be a boost to the rest of the economy because we all could afford to buy groceries and shop for a few extras.
-
In our area, we're 30 miles ne of Cincinnati, it's $1.68. It's been under $2.00 for several weeks now.....
-
Felicia, glad to see you are getting better gas prices at least.
-
Washington , Seattle is 1.94 or cheaper gas 1.89
-
I think Ohio might be the lowest around!! I paid $1.56 a gallon the other day when I filled up, and last night, I saw $ 1.50! I hope it keeps going down...because I am paying allot for groceries!!
Lisa
-
Lisa, not sure where you are but I saw it today at 1.37 WOOHOO!!!! I might actually travel this holiday with these gas prices.
-
Gas now $1.99 here on the Central Coast of CA. Grocery prices are not falling with the gas prices--someone's makin' a lotta moolah off of all of us!
-
We hit $1.66 today!
-
Filled up tonight for 1.47 western AR
