Well, I think I'm going to be ok.  I had a wonderful technician when I had my bone scan today and she let me look at it when we were done!  No spots on the bone where I've been having pain, but lots of places that are probably arthritis related.  Some highlighting around my thyroid,but that is probably nothing.  Yippee!

Now to the ortho dr and see if we can get this pain figured out.  The prednisone did seem to help, so maybe that's all it will take.  Thanks soooooo much for all your throughts and prayers.

Got home late last night and sat in a hot bath and went strait to bed. I walked the entire 60 miles! I don't have a single blister but I hurt in every muscle in my entire body. It's ok. It was worth it. This was the most moving weekend I have spent in my entire life. I don't even know how to express what I mean. There was over 1700 walkers present. I'm not sure how many crew.

I started each day with a prayer and time to reflect on those I've lost to this disease and to ask for help for those fighting. My days were filled with encounters of joy and of sadness. People would come out of there homes to clap, encourage, hand out cold water, or candy, or popsicles. People gave us high fives, clapped and sang. Girl scouts made paper flowers. Other walkers encouraged, helped each other, told their stories. I met Kay who was in remission from here second DX and fighting to get her life back to normal. I met "Super" Karen who found out shortly before the walk that she was now stage 4 and had just recieved her first chemo. I met John who was walking for his wife that died 4 months ago. I met so many. I laughed, cried, danced, sang, and cried some more. It is an experience I will always remember.

Sue, that sounds amazing!  What an experience.  Something that will stay with you forever, I am sure.  1700?  That's a lot of walkers.  I am impressed you made it the whole  60, I'd be lucky to do half that.

More good news, I got a steroid injection from the orthopedic dr.  He said it was a clear case of calcified tendinitis.  The shot didn't even hurt going in.  My arm is still a bit sore, but nothing like it was a couple of weeks ago.  It sure was nice to have a day of good news.  I still meet with my onc tomorrow to go over the results, but I'm really optimistic, more than before.

I sure wish this could be the kind of news more of us would get.  I am so thankful, but I also continue to pray for those who don't get such a good report.

Well, it turns out I celebrated a little too soon.  My onc's office just informed me I have a PET scan on Friday since my CAT scan showed something suspicious on my right lobe.  They kind of forgot to tell me.  I'm a little freaked right now.

 I am also praying it is nothing.   We are all praying it is nothing.

Sheri-  this stinks, praying for the lesser of 2 evils.

Sheri:  Hoping and praying that it's an infection or something other than cancer ...  hope you'll get the results of the PET scan quickly so your mind can be back at ease ...  waiting sucks .. and the anxiety is just the pits.
