Hi All,I sure hope all are doing well and keeping their needles warm with cozy yarns. I have been out of the country but Hanna and i came back to Myrtle Beach on the same day.. I have picked up my "square" needles again and will try to be more rounded. I started a sock contest with my sister and have been stuck on those the past month while traveling. She is definately winning the contest..I have made 5 socks and 2 toes..I hope we don't try to knit socks for any projects..No heels in squares..LOL
-
Madison, Glad you liked your shawl..they are fun and funky..
-
wackyjackie,
Neither rain, snow, sleet, wind, or Hurricane Ike can keep the postal service from delivering squares.
I received your squares in the mail!!
Love them.....thank you so much

Oh my goodness I'm overwhelmed!! I found a package when I got home tonight and knew I hadn't ordered anything. Liz, when I saw your return address I was even more puzzled - I had no idea about the hugaghans project. I'm overwhelmed, truly. Three years after my BC dx, finally starting to heal, my husband got his cancer dx and passed away in July. I don't know if you ladies have any idea how much your hugs, caring, thoughtfulness and energy mean. I wrapped myself in my hugaghan and felt the love and support from you all. Thank you!!!! Sisters are the best

My dear friend, I am so glad that our hugs arrived and will hopefully bring you some comfort after all you've been through. Wish I could have gotten DH one but I know he's smiling down at yours.
Love you!

Hi All,
I do have an afghan finished, purchased some shipping tape last night and hope to get it in the mail. The traffic is horrendous, which makes getting to a Post Office difficult (68 minutes to go 4.2 miles).
I have three names on my list. Valerie, does your lady have small children?
CY's Mom has made two small stuffed animals to send with our afghans to any small children in the house.
They are sooooooooo cute. I'll take a pic of her critters and post it soon.
My back is giving me problems (again) and I will probably schedule another shot in a week or two. It really gets depressing!
My SIL left for Iraq this morning. Please pray for his safe return. His name is Ian.
Hugs, Madison

Good to hear from so many! I haven't been on here much.............and have really been slacking with my squares............I had planned on taking a 'Crochet 101' class to learn how to border the rascals.........but my Mom has had some pretty serious health issues the past few weeks and it's zapped my time and energy. I did buy some new yarn and am ready to go!
Madison........hope the back get's better soon.........are they cortazone shots (misspelled)? Prayers and thoughts are definitely with your SIL...............is this the one that DD just married? Should we send care packages???? Just say the word and send the address!
Hugs,
Neesie

Madison - so glad you checked in - sorry to hear about your back and will definitely be praying for Ian.
No, my friend doesn't have small children. But thanks for asking.
Hey nessie how are you. Sorry to hear about your Mom.
Valerie

Val, I sure hope you like Tai chi as much as I did..
MAdison so sorry your back is bothering you, maybe a little stress related?.. please take care..
Neesie..lol.. pulled some of your squares out of the huge box, it brings a smile everytime I work on them..I am almost half way finished witht he almost 200 squares ..lol.. DH wants that part of the room back,,,, take care of your mom, the squares can wait right now...
hugs my friends...

Neesie, so sorry your Mom has had some health issues. I do hope she is getting better everyday.
I did take pics of the new afghan and the two small stuffed animals CY's Mom made. I had an animal emergency last night and didn't get to upload the pics..........
MB, thank you for bordering the squares. I laid out another afghan last night and have stitched three rows together. The bordering does help so much.
Hugs, Madison

These are two animals (and squares) made by CY's Mom

Hi, I finally have a computer again (old one broke and waited about 10 days for new one to arrive). I have a box of 40 squares ready to mail on Monday. Who needs 'em?
Getting cold here, has been down as low as 48 in the overnight hours. I'm sure some sister somewhere needs an afghan......
-
Donna if they need bordered I'll take them, otherwise send them on..
MB -
Who would like some squares? They are not boardered. Sorry I haven't contributed any in so long. I have been helping to make prayer shawls for my church, training for the Komen 3 day, and working full time. Yikes - talk about being over scheduled
.
I have enough squares to make up a box of about 20. Will send them to whoever would like them.
Hugs
Sue
