I'm glad this thread got bumped. Here is a great video that I found about breast massage that I think people will like. It shows how to move the lymph in the breasts which helps to clean them out.

Also, a book that I  think is really great to add: Micro Miracles, by Ellen Cutler, DC. She explains how using digestive enzymes helps to improve and maintain health.

I just wanted to add that Jane Plant's book is called 'Your life in your hands'.   She is a survivor of five recurrences and only once she stopped eating dairy her recurrences stopped.  I have therefore given up all dairy.  It is important to read ingredients on varous products as I have recently bought humous which had cheese added to it (that is not normally added to this dish).  Jane Plant has also published a cook book with ideas of how to make this restricted diet palatable.  As she is a scientist she has documented all her arguments and I, personally, find her convincing.  However I was rather dissapointed that she charges people to use her website even a forum like this.  This seems greedy particularly as she constantly berates others for trying to cash in but at the same time keeps recommending her website, for which she carges £30 a year.

I've only bookmarked this site so far.

    http://www.pbrc.edu/

It's the site for Pennington  Biomedical Research Center.  It was mentioned in the book by Dr Qillin I'm reading right now.  Pennington was a man dx'd with terminal cancer and he survived it by changing his nutrition.  The book is over 10 years old, but the author said Pennington was 92 at the time of writing and still going strong.  That's all my fuzzy brain can remember right now.  Hopefully I can remember which thread where I posted this in case I need it later.  :)

Althea,  I am so glad to hear that you are reading Patrick Quillin.  I am reading his book- Beating Cancer With Nutrition.  It makes total sense to me and seems to be one of the easiest to understand.  I also listened to the cd that came with the book.  The cd gives most of the background, so you can then focus on the actual plan of attack.

I have a friend who went to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.  She had surgery, but then declined chemo and rads and started out by using information from their nutrition counselor, as well as their spiritual counselor.  She is 10 years cancer free.  It can happen.

I would appreciate hearing your opinion on his suggestions.

    Thanks and think healing!

Interestingly, Jane Plant is against the use of supplements with the exception of Selenium and Kelp.  She bases this on research which has shown that some people on antioxidant supplements have more cancers than controls in long term studies (in particular beta carotenes).  Her understanding of this phenomena is that antioxidants and vitamins work in sinergy with other elements and may not be effective and/or cause more harm than good in isolation.  One example she gives is that she ate folic acid rich food during chemo and did not loose her hair, but her chemo buddies (on the same chemo protocol) who took folic acid supplements instead, lost their hair.  She also states that of all people whe knows who followed her lifestyle changes only one had recurrence.  As this woman was her friend she asked her whether she deviated from any advice given in the book and her friend admitted that she could not give up yogurt.  I have to say that I find cheese to be the greatest loss and, of course, butter in cakes.

I've read over 40 books on conventional and alternative therapy  I. never heard of Jane Plant or her protocol.  I do know most homeopathic doctor would prefer you get most of your antioxidants from foods but they also very few people can maintain the tough diet you must maintain.  The other big reason we can not rely on foods is that our soil has been depleted because of use of fertilizers for over 60 years.  This has depleted the minerals in our soil.  Also they pick our fruit & veggies to early. They are pulled from the main plant to early so they are not getting all their nutritional growth before they are picked, to make them available to ship easier.  The other things is that as much as 50% of our food is now genetically altered from what people ate as little as 25 years.  Growers are look more for color, size, etc....than nutritiona; benefits.

I wish it was as easy as eating right...

I'm new to the Bill Henderson diet and a TOTAL MILK LOVER. Had to give that up. For those of you who have tried all the acceptable milks under that diet, which tastes most like cows milk?
