    After thought.

Maybe everyone post or send a photo they like of themselves for group photo and then have a pole dancers photo too. Just don't want anyone to be left out and some did chose not to do the pole dance. Don't know just what Jen is planning but it's an idea.

Edited to say besides some choosing not to, there were some that graduated before Rock declared the pole dance a tradition.

    Enjoy the day, Karin

That means I'll have to take a pic of myself.  Ack!

    (I'll work on it.)

On the foob front...I too have the Amoena Natura but, unlike Sable, I find mine quite comfy.  I'm a B so it could be a size issue as far as comfort.  I also have mastectomy bras, so I don't find that it slides around at all.  I haven't been able to wear it more than twice since my port lies right on the bra strap area and I find it uncomfortable to wear a bra as a result.  That problem goes away in 8 days when I have my port out!!  woohoo!

When I feel like paying for one 100% out of pocket, I plan on getting the one that Noelle has linked to ... the Amoena Contact, I think its called.  Insurance covers one every 2 years.  I saw that one when I was foob shopping and really liked the idea that I could wear regular (non-mast)bras and not worry about it slipping around.

    Hey all,

I have been very quiet this weekend....started taking the vicodin yesterday and manageed to sleep thru most of the day and night.  Woo HOO!!

Weird thing is that  all I am craving is pasta, specifically spaghetti, peas and a creamy tomato sauce, which I am making right now before I go back to my vicodin coma.

Tried a heating pad on my back and that has allowed me to cut down on the number of pills, plus my B-50 seems to be taking care of my tingling, its almost gone...

Okay, I won;t comment on Gov. Palin cause I don't want to alienate anyone with my political views...lol...no politics for me until BC is done....

For the hotel room in San Jose, try priceline.com.  That's what we use when we go there and I usually get  super nie rooms really cheap. With the light railso close by, a car isn't necessary.

    cheers and chemoo alll, randie

    Randie

I didn't Take B-50 I took B-100. All I know is that it worked for me. It had cut the tingling almost back to nothing. I stopped talking it after my last treatment because the tingling had stopped. Wrong! Tingling reappeared. Went back on it and am still reminded of it once and awhile but basically gone.

    Enjoy the day, Karin

I'm so happy the boulder has been spotted, so I gave her a kiss.

You don't know how much you have been missed.

Boy, I just started to try to catch up but have been slowed down by stopping to blubber every minute or so. I missed you guys sooooooo much and am moved beyond words.  Karin, Sue, everyone... thank you.

I had a great trip, with great weather, great scenery, great time with my sister and my friends.  About two days ago, I had the most wonderful feeling: I could feel that my body is healing. The soles of my feet, cuts that haven't healed since May, my energy . . . I swear, I can feel my body getting stronger every minute.

I have a lot of catching up ahead. Work, meetings, life, doc's appts. But I'm back. And I can't wait to see who pole-danced, whether in practice or in spirit!  CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

    and lots of love.  "boulder"

P.S. Apparently, I need to compile a list of the 3 or 4 people in my life who did/do not read what I say here.  I think I've made it pretty clear to the people in my "real life" how hurt and humiliated I was by their actions, regardless of whether or not they meant any harm.  I'm trying to move on but can't shake this living in a fishbowl feeling.

Jeano -- Donde estan los photos!!! (Coconuts? Hula?  You know what's funny . . . I THINK I might have the same 'outfit' -- my little sister gave it to me!)

Linda -- Love it. Love it. Love it.  Youse a natural!

Noelle -- I devoted a LOT Of time on my vaca to thinking about exfoliating. I am going to do a search to see what I missed.  Because  i gotta say, my skin looked a helluva lot better during chemo than it does now. Chemo:  The Ultimate Exfoliator.

Re: Cancer Survivor, etc.  This is going to sound mad, but right now, I am afraid to say that I don't have cancer. I am convinced that it will come back (BRCA2+) and am viewing the next months/years as simply the interval before I find out I have it again. I swear that is not as pessimistic and depressive as it sounds  . . . and I will be thrilled to be wrong.  But right now, I'm living like I only have another 10 years on the clock. Anything after that? GRAVY!

    Cris --- Delay ??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I'm sorry, that wasn't terribly mature or helpful of me, was it? Gosh darn it. NO NO NO NO NO. Rats. NO.

Which is all by way of saying what no doubt the others have already said:  Randie, Gracie, Cris: I am HERE for you.  It ain't over until we are all out of the pool.

Sable -- sweetie pie, you are cracking me up.

    And "Governator" -- brilliant.

Frankly, with the talent we have here, I think we should have our own cable access show.  (PS Noelle -- TV makeup? What was the occasion?!)

    Otter,

You had said your hair growing back is sticking straight up. The cute little oink, oink's is too. If that pic looks more like you does that mean your face hairs are coming back too? Sorry couldn't resist. Not looking forward to plucking those nasty face hairs again.

    Enjoy the day, Karin

Thanks for the info on triple neg...we have so much to learn. Cris, how rude that I left you out on our Thursday journey. The three of us will be doing a synchronized swim routine together holding hands as Otter cheers us on and we all come out the other end. I got a little prop for my pole dance Thursday. I can't wait to party. Thanks for the info on the foobs. Will get back to you more when I really take the leap but just thinking about it makes me happy. I am so tired today after just a walk and a baseball game and a little evening party. Can't wait to sleep in tomorrow....then, the school routine around here begins and for us, that means two boys up at 6 -- one to catch a 6:45 bus and the other to catch a 6:45 ferry. Ai carramba. Talk to you all soon. Noelle, CONGRATS ON FINISHING THE RACE.

    Karin.  Face hairs?  Don't ask!

Yes, all my nose hairs came back and are (were) already as long as the scalp hairs.  My face has very soft fur on it.  No, I don't mean like in my avatar, or even on that cute little piglet, thank goodness.  It's the kind of facial hair you get when you've been in menopause for awhile.  Ack!

Fortunately, my hair was, and still seems to be, light-colored, so the unwanted hairs don't show up very well.

(I had something funny to say about that facial hair, but now I can't remember it.)

Boulder the hairless is back now, we're glad

Driven from sanctuary by friends who made us mad

Ms. Karin was fierce while rock was gone

    Meanwhile our stories continued on

"Just" cyber-friends, how could it be private?

    Meanwhile, it's sacred, let's high-five it!

Okay, that last rhyme was tortured and strained, and I am not a poet after all.  But the sentiment is there, and I tried.

    SOOOOOO glad you're back.

    Love,

    Sue

Waaahooo!!  Rock's back!!  And we don't even need to decipher a new "name"!!   Although, I was enjoying some of our variations.  Didya like 'em?!  So very glad that you had a great and much-needed vacation - sorry about the "ack" part.

Eddie & Jen (dauhlink) - You must pick a place for Thursday, particularly since this is your "exit, stage left" one!  Me?  Apparently, I will be living at the beach for the next 12 weeks, so bring me another damn drink with an umbrella in it!

Kristy - Gotcha for Friday and love that picture and especially the sentiment.  Sweet!

Otter - That piglet is too cute!!  It's so fuzzy!!  When my oldest dd was about 5, she was climbed up an aluminum fence to see the piglets at the fair.  Well, when she was climbing down, her shoe got caught in between and fell off onto the little piggies!  She was horrified and one of us just reached in and grabbed her shoe.  She still talks about it every summer at the fair.

    Randie - Here's to a vicodin coma - Cheers!!

Sue - Can I just say, that I love that you always try!!

O.K., I'm not really as bitter as I sound in another paragraph.  But I'm feeling back like when I had the delay before.  Eddie, it's that "left-out, everyone's moving faster than me", feeling.  So I was thinking.  The only reason we're cutting back is because of my WBCs being below normal (and not that far below).  I think if they come back up and can stay up for awhile on the one-third doses, I will ask the onc about doing the "regular strength" for the last two, which would still let me be done-done on Oct. 30.  For some reason, 6 weeks sounds much better than 12.  I can't imagine why.

    O.K., here's the Roll Call...

Wednesday - Anyone?  Anyone at all??

Thursday - Eddie (LAST ONE!!); Jen (ALL DONE!!); Me (1/3 Tax #2)

Friday - Kristy (Her, last weekly)

Speak up if I missed you!

Welcome back Rock - we missed you!

My kids say my hair id growing a lot- to me I still look a little like the bird pic someone posted earlier- not enough hair to look like real coverage! However, I have noticed I am going commando a lot more often- guess that Texas heat won the hat vs bald war.

Im cooking all day so come on over- a cake for a work party tomorrow, my hisbands birthday cake- his birthday was July 28 which was the day after I went into the hospital so he never got a cake and then cooking out burgers with the family.

Rock - Welcome back, we sure did miss you!  Thanks for saying that you can feel yourself getting stronger each day, it is just what I needed to hear.  I am in the dark days of the SEs and after four months of this, love to hear that it will be better, we will get stronger.

Noelle -  Congrats on finishing the race!  Although you may not have picked up a PR in your race, by simply competing you can give BC the finger and say you are back!!!  At least that is what I am looking forward to when I do a 5k race at the end of the month.

Eddie, Jen and Chris - We cannot wait to see you in camp recovery!   When everyone makes it to the other side, we should pick a day and open champagne and toast one another!!

After reading about all of the foobs, I am wondering if anyone else besides myself elected to do reconstruction??  Based on all of the issues that I am having with my peck (minor) muscle into my armpit, I am having second thoughts about my decision.

Jean -I am planning to do recon, but later when I have time to think. I will do an implant or nothing, I am not doing any of those flap thingys... I do not want/ need anymore scars from this. By the time I see the PS I plan to be too skinny to have any fat or flaps left to cut off.I won't make any decisions until I have the genetic test results.

I finished the race with a PB in slowness! I was slower than the very first mini tri I did in 04. I felt great until the run started and then really paid huge in pain, I walked the hills ( which I neeeeeever do) and almost puked at the finish. I will post pics later.

Cris I am having Herceptin on Wed.

I no longer have stubble, I have hair... short and baby fine, but it is hair and all the bald spots are filled in. I have stubble everywhere else, but still have not had to shave yet.

Cris- are you not on Neupagen or Neulasta for the WBC's? I cannot recall...

Rock- I was on the local breakfast TV show again. Got a call last minute for the next morning's show and said yes. I have not seen it yet, but my fake eyebrows looked ok apparently.

Oh, and Rock... I still hate your friends, and will continue to until they offer an explanation as to how reading this is serving you.

Chemmooo and Happy Labour Day to all!

    Noelle,

PB? Don't know what that means. As for slower then in 04, you were in better heath back then. Still give you credit and congratulations just for attempting it so soon after chemo. Your body is still recovering. I admire you for not giving up and still pursuing your passions. Oh, and congratulations on real hair.

ALL - As for Labor Day, 28 years ago I was in Labor on this day and gave birth to my twins. Before I could call my one daughter to wish her a Happy Birthday she called me and wished me a Happy Birthing Day. The other stopped over.

I have mixed emotions on this last day of what we consider the summer. Part of me is sad to see it go and the other is so darn excited. Tomorrow I go back to school, faculty only. Then Wednesday the kids come back. Yeah, I can't wait. If things haven't changed since I talked to the principal a few weeks ago, I will be working in a second grade class this year. This means I will have a few of my kids from last year. Looking forward to the BIG GERMIE HUGS & KISSES I told them to give me when they saw me in September.

    Enjoy the day, Karin

Hey everyone as I come out of my vicodain coma.  SEs are still thre, but I hate the fuzzy drug feeling.

Rock, my hero!!! Glad to have you back. A pox on your friends! Actually, you can't call them friends if they acted so loathsome, right?

Watching the news, lets all be thankful that the hurricane scaled back, I don't want to pay thru the nose any more for fuel this winter.  Plus, I hate watching all those people losing their homes, with chemo pause it makes me tearier than normal.

DH and kids are on their way out (so I can commmando clean while they are gone) to our little town's Labor Day swap meet.  Hope they come back a lot later with no MORE JUNK! Or as my Sam says, some special treasures.

Off to the kitchen and maybe some dust bunnies.  BTW. my 12 yo cleaned my entire bedroom, changed sheets,  duste, vaccuumed, everything on Thursday while I was at chemooooo, sometimes your kids just absolutely amaze you! She told me that she wanted me to have a nice room when I started hurting, sob sob sob....

    love you all, randie
