SEs when moving from Taxol/Kanjinti (Herceptin) to Kanjinti only

I have my last weekly Taxol/Kanjinti (Herceptin bio-similar) this week after 12 weeks. The following week I get my first Kanjinti only infusion and will continue that every three weeks to round out a year. Question for those who've come before and done this regimen... Did you find with the heavier dose of Kanjinti (moving from 2 mg/kg weekly to 6 mg/kg every three weeks) that you had side effects in the days following the infusion? Or with the Taxol out of the way did the side effects get noticeably better?

I've actually tolerated Taxol pretty well. I still have hair, although it's very thin, but everyone keeps telling me. you can't tell and don't shave it. I had a few days of nausea and a couple of major migraine headaches. I have had bloating and swelling a couple of days after treatment, but I think that's steroids not Taxol. My taste definitely changed with a metallic/bitter/chemical taste to everything.

We want to plan a quick trip to celebrate end of chemo before the start of rads, but didn't know what to expect from the Kanjinti, especially since the dose is bigger. Thanks for sharing any experiences you've had!

I was taxotere/carboplatin to herceptin and Perjeta — so not quite the same — but side effects on just the herceptin and Perjeta were much, much easier. Mostly I felt like I was getting back to normal after the chemo and the only noticeable side effects were periodic dizziness/woozy feelings that were annoying, but weren’t that bad.

I’m about a year out from finishing all treatment and it took probably another 3-4 months to feel like all the residual creakiness and slow movement had faded and that I was back to my pre-cancer levels of energy.
