Dishonest tactics by disability insurance

Has anyone had success using a lawyer to deal with disability insurance issues? My disability insurance is pulling multiple blatantly dishonest games. I don't know if the extra cost of a lawyer makes sense...
I am so frustrated. These people are horrible.
