DIEP flap surgery and recovery

Iam having a delayed DIEP flap surgery at the end of May. Wondering what recovery was like, what to prepare for and with, what help is needed, and what is the process like. I had a unilateral mastectomy in 2019, and tried being flat, but now I've decided to have reconstruction. Any advice and insight would be much appreciated.
