Interpreting MRI results

I was referred to a breast surgeon following bloody, clear, and yellow nipple discharge first in my left breast and then, about a month later, in my right breast. My Mammogram and U/S were clear but I received the following results from my MRI. I’m scheduled for a second look ultrasound and MRI-guided biopsy next week. I am 36, no kids, have a paternal aunt with breast cancer but no other family history. I have a condition called primary ovarian insufficiency and as a result am entering menopause and my hormones are all over the place.

Any insights welcomed as I spiral for the next week :)

BREAST FINDINGS

Right

No suspicious mass, suspicious non-mass enhancement, or other

concerning finding identified.

There are no abnormal axillary or internal mammary lymph nodes..

Left: Lower Inner at 7:30, (Sagittal S:5/I:79), (Axial

S:4/I:192), Middle depth, measuring 12 x 8 x 5 mm: There is an oval,

circumscribed enhancing mass with kinetic enhancement curve showing

mixed pattern (persistent, washout) on delayed phase. On non-contrast

sequences this mass shows high signal intensity on STIR/T2-weighted

sequences. Suspicious.

Left: Central, Retroareolar, (Sagittal S:5/I:64), (Axial

S:4/I:218), In the nipple-areolar complex: There is flattenning of

the nipple with asymmetric suspicious enhancement of the NAC but not

the retroareolar tissue. Recommend clinical correlation.

Left

There are no abnormal axillary or internal mammary lymph

nodes..

There is focal ehancement in the skin only at the 12:00 axis

middle depth,benign (S:4/I:262 and S:5/I:68)

There is no other significant finding.

I don't know that I have any insights for you, but just wanted to say that there are people here who will support and walk with you through whatever the biopsy outcome is. There are LOTS of MRI findings that turn out to be benign on biopsy, which I know is hard to remind yourself of during this period of waiting. That's where silly movies and and walks in the woods and every other fun distracting activity you can think of come in.
