Change in hormone receptor status after 10 years

Hello all,

I have been very lucky these past 10 years and 4 months living with metastic breast cancer and being NED since August 2012. Looks like the cancer has now moved to my lungs but remain clear from my liver where it originally had spread right from the jump. We are getting ready to do a lung biopsy next week to see if the hormone receptors have changed status. My question to all of you is have any of you had your hormone status change? I was originally dx with ER/PR- and HER2+++ Herceptin sure was doable for a long time.

have they ruled out that it is a new cancer? I have been Ned for 11 years , er/pr-, her2+, and have never seen anyone that has been ned that long with er- cancer have a recurrence. I think it is really rare for cancer to switch to er+, usually it is er+ changing to er-. Hope your biopsy goes well and you get the answers you need.
