Unilateral breast discharge/pain in armpit and collar bone

41, haven't breast fed a baby in 5 years, not pregnant. Mirena IUD for 4 years. No family history of breast cancer but my mom had a hysterectomy last year for early stage cancer. Not sure what type but she has been cancer free since they removed everything.

3 weeks ago had a sore throat and rash appear on my left shoulder.. Was concerned after about 4 days it was shingles but a rude telehealth doctor told me it was nothing and to drink tea

2 weeks ago the armpit pain started in my left armpit. Went to urgent care in person this time. Thought maybe it was a swollen lymph node.. The rash was fading but pain was radiating from my armpit through my collar bone. Was told at urgent care that none of the symptoms were related and the armpit pain was probably osteoarthritis pain. Which didn't make any sense because it's mostly armpit not a bone or joint. Negative strep, flu and covid tests.I was told to put otc arthritis cream in my armpit. They didn't say anything about the collar bone.

Dealt with the pain for another 10 days. Then began noticing breast discharge solely from the left breast. Whitish yellow in color. No lumps that I can tell.

Asked in a online support group if this was maybe just a normal part of aging and perimenopause and had multiple women tell me that armpit pain and unilateral white discharge from the same side where the pain was at was their first sign of breast cancer and to get a mammogram

I sent a message to my pcp in the online portal assuming they would agree with the urgent care doctor that this was probably unusual arthritis pain but my doctor's office called me and said I need an appointment. They can't get me in for two weeks

I wasn't really worried until my doctors office said I needed an appointment. I can't tell if there are lumps or not because I have had gastric bypass and lost 170 pounds and have a ton of loose skin. It doesn't feel the same putting my left arm at my side though as the right. Not just because my armpit hurts but it just feels off. I've looked in the mirror and felt around but didn't feel anything.

I've had some left hip pain for a few months that I assume is arthritis pain. Not sure it's related

Edit: really just wondering if anyone has experienced similar symptoms and what the outcome was.

    Hi,

I'm not sure what your question is but I am sorry that you find yourself worried over the unknown. Let me just say that you need to take things one step at a time and focus on what is known. I wouldn't be worried about your doctors appointment. Look at it as the best way to have your symptoms looked at to determine what's going on. We have all experienced the limitations of telemedicine so I think that seeing the doc in person will be more helpful. Take a deep breath, don't jump to the worst case scenario, and stay away from dr. Google. Take care.
