I am new to the forum as of 12/27 and look forward to meeting people. I have chemo every Tuesday and 12/28 is my second round of chemo. I will be wearing the cold cap. So far I have nausea and fatigue and tremors. I am worried about my immunity because I also have an immunity disorder (doctors are aware of this). Thankfully I am vaccinated with a booster so I hope it helps. I do hope that the cold cap saves my hair, but I'll be okay if it doesn't. I only worry that I have a bad scalp. I do have plans for if I will lose my hair. I've noticed more hair in the shower, but not enough to notice that my hair is gone.

I am chronically genetically ill so I do wonder if that made me more prone to cancer. My genetic illness is called 22q11.2 deletion syndrome has over 180 symptoms. I am lucky to have gotten mostly/if not all physical symptoms because there are some rather harsh mental symptoms for my syndrome. I have had around 60 symptoms with 22 surgeries to fix half of them. So far since the cancer diagnosis, I'm up to 24 surgeries and will be probably around 27 surgeries at least when I'm done.

I'm pretty young for my type of cancer - 29 almost 30 in 2 weeks. I need to get genetics testing because both sides of my family are Ashkenazi Jew. I do not currently identify as Jewish, but my family originated in Europe. I only know of distant cousins who got breast cancer and my grandma had an ovarian cyst and my great grandma had ovarian cancer and died of that at age 100.

I'm nervous about tomorrow, but am thankful that staff is nice and helpful. I do know that symptoms get worse each treatment so hopefully my body can handle it. I know that I'm a warrior and will be able to fight this as long as my body can handle pain <3
