Stage IIB Lung Cancer

Options

I was diagnosed in August with both stage IV breast with met to hip and IIB adenocarcinoma lung with 13 gene mutations, 6 of which are aggressive. Had a right lung lobectomy in September, started chemo in October ending in January. In the meantime, for MBC I've been on Arimidex and Xgeva. Will be put on Ibrance in February. I'm actually grateful to have been diagnosed stage IV breast and not lung. Long term prognosis and treatment options are better.

I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast CA 2010. Had bilateral mastectomy and chemo, and Arimidex for 9 years. In 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 1B lung CA. Had a R upper lobectomy. Progression 2 years later. Had a R middle lobectomy. Found to have a targetable mutation so after further progression to stage 4 I was started on Tagrisso. That was 3 1/2 years ago. Currently, No Evidence of Disease in my lung. Also, no evidence of disease from my breast cancer (also had a melanoma 28 years ago that appears to have been cured). There is always reason for hope.
