I'm upset because they compared this weekend's mammogram to last years Nov. 2020. I had ABUS in June of this year and a follow-up Ultrasound for a questionable area on right breast which radiologist told me was a piece of dense breast tissue. SEE BELOW RESULTS REPORT

Why are they only comparing this current mammogram to last year and are not mentioning the ABUS or U/S from six months ago? and now they want me coming back for additional images of same area.

I will definately call tomorrow to see if this was an oversight - and mention that this was checked already 6 months ago with negative result.

What is your take on this?

INDICATIONS from June 11, 2021

Recalled from ABUS screening for possible mass versus artifactual shadowing in the right breast at 10:00 7.5 cm from the nipple

TECHNIQUE

US Breast Limited Right

COMPARISON

Compared to: 06/02/2021 US Breast ABUS Complete Bilateral and 11/28/2020 MAM Bilateral Screening Digital Mammogram With Tomo

FINDINGS

Targeted color Doppler ultrasound performed throughout the region of questioned ABUS abnormality centered at 10:00 7.5 cm from the nipple shows only normal-appearing fibroglandular tissue. The prior ABUS finding likely reflected artifact related to a dense patch of breast tissue. No persistent suspicious sonographic abnormality.

IMPRESSION

BI-RADS® ATLAS category (right): 1 Negative

MANAGEMENT

Back on Schedule is recommended for right. The patient was entered into a reminder system with a target date for their next breast imaging exam.

maybe I'm not understanding, but it looks as if they did compare to both Nov 2020 and June 2021 results? Also, soundsas if they did mention the ABUS… I'm confused? Forgive me if I sound ignorant.
