Pls need advice ( shoulder tumor osteoporosis)

Hi Everyone, my mom had breast cancer stage 3b.

She had long treatment. she is still getting zometa shots . She took Armidex for ten years.
my mom has arthritis for very long periods of time as well. She recently had surgery for her spine.
It's almost 6 month she started to have tumor in her shoulder. It's very painful.

The doctor said it's osteoporosis( results are attached) Anyone had similar issue? What's solutions?

It says findings are suggestive of degenerative changes - osteoarthritis. I didn't see anything about a tumor, but it's hard to read. You should mark out her name before posting anything.

Is the oncologist aware of these findings? I would like an oncologist's opinion regarding pursuing a nuclear bone scan &/or MRI to rule out bone metastases. Of course many of us have osteoporosis and her dexa scan confirms that. But all changes have to be assessed in light of previous breast ca history.

Yes, you should really delete anything that shows your Mother's name.

What kind of a doctor? I go to an endocrinologist for osteoporosis issues. If you don't agree with what the doctor said, you Mother should go for a second opinion.
