Concerned that I might have IBC

I'm actually looking for some advice here. I'm 25F, always had large breasts and went through phases of weight loss and gain, so breasts are kind of deflated. Left one has always been bigger than the right. For about 3-4 years, I've had this reddish/purplish spot on my breast (left) which looks like veins on close up. Also, both my breasts have a lot of ingrown hair and the hair follicles are dark (been this way since puberty). The left breast also has a small brownish spot that doesn't grow / change in any way and has been there for at least 3 years.

Is this anyway related to IBC? I recently went down a Google hole (my bad), and this has been bugging me for days. I did see a dermatologist, and she seemed to think nothing was wrong.

The dark dots in the picture are hair follicles. Loads of ingrown hair. Skin is smooth, not raised or pitted in anyway. Hair follicles do feel like little bumps, but once the hair is out they're flat again.

none of what you described sounds like IBC. I think it's reassuring that your derm was not concerned about it. IBC is very quick, so nothing that has been there for yeas is going to be IBC. Breasts do have a rich blood supply (they need it to manufacture milk) & it's normal to have areas where the veins are closer to the skin.

have you read through the "worried about IBC start here" thread https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/83/topics...

It's good to have a baseline of what your breasts look & feel like so you can be aware of changes.

    best wishes
