Find info.re: increasing natural Progesterone for ER+ and PR-

Hello everyone. The first thing I thought of when I saw that I was ER+ (99%) and PR- was that I needed to find a way to increase the Progesterone in my body to offset and assist the high estrogen being produced in my body (I am post menopause). Because there is a slightly better outcome if you are both ER+ and PR+. But I am not finding a lot about it, oddly enough. I thought this would be a given. Not synthetic Progesterone, but natural bioidentical. I have also read it can help reduce some side effects.

This morning, I found an article on this site that delved into this showing studies, but I lost it on my phone while multi-tasking and can't find it again. Didn't seem to be many replies or interest in this subject from what I saw.

Can anyone guide me to find this again? I have my super appointment on Wednesday and want to discuss this with my Oncologist, who may or may not be versed in this. But since hormones play such a big role in breast cancer, it seems natural to me to try to balance them if you are Progesterone negative. I know I will already be on an AI to block my Estrogen.

Also, is there anyone out there that is ER+ but PR- and HER2- that has looked at this? I am going to request a swab test of my hormone levels and ask to see an endocrinologist that could work with my Oncologist.

Thank you for any help!

I'm interested as well and am ER+ PR- and HER-. I'll take a look around and see what I can find.

I found it if I typed in Bioidentical Hormones in the search column. Much debate, but I have to tell you, it makes some sense to me as it was the very first thing I thought of when I saw PR negative. I know it is much more complicated than that. However, I am going to mention it at my first Oncologist appointment on Wednesday and see what kind of reaction I get. At the very least, I would like to see and Endochronologist who deals with hormones all the time for their opinion. It is not an Oncologists regular job to look at balancing hormones. Only to block Estrogen dominance, which I will already be doing. Some might be more versed than others.

Someone mentioned that it is a "team" effort to work together. I have to agree with that. Perhaps, just perhaps, they could? It's complicated, but I am willing to look at everything.
