Many people work all during chemo, but it is hard to say how each individual will respond. I did not have any noticeable fatigue during treatment but that was my experience. Good luck.

Elliotu: I didn't have major fatigue during chemo but then I am retired and didn't have to head off to the office or do a lot of interaction stuff. I also didn't have to worry about wearing a wig or a beanie/scarf to work to hide my boiled egg head. Taxol gave a me bright red face the day after but Day 3 I was fine. Which chemo are you getting?

Elliotu, it's hard to predict how you will respond. Some people have lots of fatigue, others do not.

I really suggest newcomers read the previous monthly chemo threads. You will learn so much from what others report.

Ultimately I think the key is being flexible with your schedule and plans.

Also, there is pretty strong evidence that exercise reduces chemo fatigue. So try to make sure to at least walk every single day. Nap when you need to, plant for a good night's sleep but keep moving as much as possible.

    best wishes!

Elliotu = it's a good idea to start just ONE thread so people can follow & answer your questions. I just answered on another thread. Also if you go to My Profile and add your latest diagnosis & treatment plan, people will have more information to answer your questions.
