Debridement of of skin.

I will be having Debridement surgery tomorrow. The dr doesn’t see anything that would indicate that I would lose my expanders. So it will be a day surgery, I’ll lose a little skin but that is all.

Anyone had this done? And anything I should know about recovery or what I should do to prevent it again?

    LoverofJesus, why are you having a debridement? Did something go wrong during your surgery? I ask because I have a wound that is not healing from a surgery in August and my doctor told me I could do one of two things, either a debridement or a chest flap surgery.

    Tovahsmom- yes I had skin they just was not healing properly. It turned colors and just would not heal. So the PS went back in and just trimmed the dead skin back and restitched me. I am now healing just fine. And I start fills in a week in my expanders. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. I would be glad to answer.
