I got a call back on my very first mammogram which I understand is normal. The report however is full of lovely scary words. My Mom's sister is a two time breast cancer survivor. My mom's dad had lung/brain cancer. I have a lot of other health issues and would prefer not to add to the list. I don't go to my ultrasound until the 15th of December. I may try to get an earlier appointment. They said to expect to be there an hour.

IMPRESSION:

Bilateral reniform nodular focal asymmetries within the superolateral breasts, likely reflecting intramammary lymph nodes.

Right breast focal nodular asymmetry.

RECOMMENDATION: Targeted bilateral breast ultrasound.

I had both a normal mammogram and ultrasound. I continued to have changes in my nipple, was prescribed steroid cream both started to have pain and then a biopsy was done. On November 11 biopsy came back Paget disease of the breast, cancer. I am going for my first appointment with a team of doctors on the 24th for staging and treatment plan. They may not know if it has spread because I unable to have the MRI until the 25th. I hope you have good news.

Emily where I go when they did the ultrasound they read it right right away and come and gave me results right there. A lot of times they want it because of dense tissues and even with a 3D mamo it is harder to tell sometimes what is going on. The ultrasound gives them a quick picture to make a determination. In my case the doctor reviewed it and came in the room and told me it is cysts and did not need anything done further. So there is hope that is the case for you.

I am on a 6 month follow up though and have to go again in a few months now. So do not be worried if they tell you that either. Best wishes

sdvbq3 best wishes to you. I know there are threads for both of those on here and will keep good thoughts in your treatment.
