    Hi!

I thought it might be interesting to start different regional threads here to share MBC resources.

I am in the SF Bay Area and am looking to expand my horizons and would love to hear from others what you have found.

    Do you love Your Onc?

What about complimentary or integrated medicine practitioners? Natalie Ledesma is my nutritionist and she’s great

(I'm even curious about some of the the more woo woo ones!)

Are you in clinical trials at UCSF, Stanford or Davis? How's it going?

Anyway hopefully this can turn into a searchable thread for others in our area!

    ❤️P

Ps. I can’t figure out how to add my treatment story in my signature so here it is

2010 stage one. Chemo/Rad/Surgery then I was a tamoxifen drop out.

7/2019 MCB bones. Ibrance and Anastrozole then in 2021 swapped Anastrozole for Faslodex.

    San José resident here!

    - Don't know if I love my mo yet. My previous mo, who I adored, moved back to her home country. I saw my new mo once and then Covid19 hit. She seems good but I still don't know her well enough.

    - I am a Kaiser member. They offer many complementary services such as nutrition, acupuncture, etc. Not sure about integrated medicine but they put quite an emphasis on wellness and preventative care.

    - I have never been in a clinical trial but when I was first dx'ed I was offered a clinical trial for HER2 low patients. A pre-requisite was an echocardiogram which led to a PET scan which led to the discovery of my bone met. This completely changed the course of my tx though I have never done chemo! It's a long story.

    - Yes, Stanford, UCSF and UC Davis are big names and excellent facilities but don't discount Kaiser. I am treated at the Santa Clara campus and 1 in 4 Californians are Kaiser members. So although we can’t go outside the Kaiser system, this still leaves you with hundreds of choices and Kaiser works cooperatively with non-Kaiser institutions for research and clinical trials. Ten years of NEAD with very few se's from the rads to my bone met and AIs and I am a happy camper.

Go to settings and scroll down to treatments. After entering the info, make sure you change the settings to public

    Take care
