Four + years later, and still dealing with reconstruction.

Been a while since I was last on this site.

Brief history, I had a bilateral mastectomy January 2017. After second chemo treatment, hospitalized for a week with infection, expander removed. IV clinic daily for 10 days.

Attempt 2, infection all along the way, with UI infection. Treated and carry on. Expander removed and implant placed. Yeah, I have two breasts! Two months later, infection, thought covid at first, Implant once again removed. Doctor said it popped right out on it own. He cleaned out all signs of infection, added my own fat to the area to help feel it. And yes, it is very ugly.

Now I am getting ready for attempt 3, a DIEP flap surgery in January.

From my primary doctor. I have protein in my urine, again or still, who knows? He doesn't know where it is coming from. Liver and Kidneys are good. Bet I can guess.

Anyone deal with this?
