Next Step - Bone Biopsy Tomorrow

After no symptoms or issues since 2009, a couple weeks ago a CT scan showed "bone metastases" and a subsequent PET scan indicated "widespread bony metastatic disease". The oncologist will not confirm if it is MBC, and I have a bone biopsy scheduled for tomorrow. Really hoping for some kind of definite diagnosis so that I can move on. I had forgotten how much we hurry up and wait . . .

Wishing you the best, puppers. My bone met was an incidental finding on an unrelated PET scan. They used great drugs for my bone biopsy, upper femur, so I was relaxed and pain free. Take care.

Yes, the waiting ... My PCP ordered a bunch of scans and the Abdominal MRI showed lesions that were "suggestive" of metastasis. Bone biopsy set for next Wednesday at 8 a.m.

Today I finished canceling hotel and air reservations for a month-long Christmas markets trip that was to have started the following week. At least that clears a LOT of time on my schedule to get treatment stuff started.

After 15+ years I thought I was home free ....

Thank you both for your encouragement! The biopsy went well - no pain, thankfully! I was out of it and didn't feel a thing. The biopsy however did come back positive for mets, so am meeting with the oncologist today to determine treatment next steps. Appreciate this community!
