HELP! Surgery Monday and Need to Know What To Expect

Hello!

I was informed on Monday afternoon that my surgery date is October 25th. My plastic surgeon quit the practice and another one has been assigned.

Both of my tissue expanders have collapsed. Plastic surgeon said he would replace them and then start the process all over again.

Implants will not be put in until a later surgery.

I am not sure what to expect in terms of recovery, pain management, etc. I had a double mastectomy, and I want to know if the surgery recovery is in any way comparable. Surgeon didn't provide me with any information. He sent me a one line email that said recovery would take six weeks. Obviously, that is not an adequate answer. I can't get anyone to help me. Argh.

How did your surgery go?

I had my expanders removed Nov 16. Small implants put in. Fat from my lower back put in as well.

Recovery has been fine. Tylenol keeps me comfy. The bigger discomfort is the back . Breasts are almost pain free
