BIRADS 3 - Push for biopsy?

I (28F) recently had an ultrasound and mammogram of a lump I found in my left breast that's caused intermittent aching. I was initially just there for an ultrasound, but then got a 3D mammogram because there appeared to be calcifications along with a mass. The radiologist classified it as BIRADS 3, mentioned I have "extremely dense" breasts, and just recommended a 6 month follow up.

Since I got the results, there are some things in the write-up that are concerning to me (calcification, some posterior shadowing). I'm also worried that I may be dismissed since I'm young and don't have any family history with cancer. Does anyone have experience pushing for a biopsy despite a BIRADS 3 rating? Would anyone recommend it in my case? Here are the details from the radiologist report:

IMPRESSION: Probably benign calcifications and probable small associated mass in the anterior retroareolar left breast, potentially a fibroadenoma. Recommend sonographic mammographic follow-up in six months to document stability.

COMMENT: There is a wider than tall hypoechoic mass measuring up to 0.8 x 0.4 0.6 cm which demonstrates central hyperechogenicity, suspected calcifications, noting some posterior acoustic shadowing. A full-field digital left mammogram is completed with 3-D tomosynthesis to confirm the presence of calcification in the anterior subareolar breast.

Grouped, benign-appearing calcifications are confirmed just medial and slightly inferior to the posterior nipple line in the anterior breast. There is no discernible corresponding mass on mammography. Recommend six-month sonographic and mammographic follow-up for confirmation.

Just FYI - if you successfully push for a biopsy, they will have to change the rating to BIRADS 4 in order for insurance to cover it. It doesn't mean they suddenly think your mass is more worrisome.
