Extreme Pain in the left arm

Hi All,

I have completed chemotherapy and radiation and have been experiencing a lot of discomfort in my left arm.

During surgery, lymph nodes and veins were cut on the left side.

I have been taking Physiotherapy, just a temporary relief. The pain has become constant and unbearable.

Has anybody dealt with this pain and has anything to guide to deal with this pain.

CiaWatni please speak with either your surgeon or your MO about the pain you are experiencing to help identify what is going on. It is quite possible that you have developed lymphedema but we also want to rule out anything else. I had a lot of pain with minimal swelling initially. Achy, buzzy pain. Is your physiotherapist certified in lymphedema management? If not, I would ask for a referral to a certified LE therapist if your medical team determines that this is in fact lymphedema.
