Growth in tumor

I have had a small lump in my breast for quite some time. My midwife said it was a swollen milk gland and I did not need follow-up bc I had recently stopped breastfeeding. Fast-forward a year later, it was still there, so she ordered a breast ultrasound. The radiologist deemed it fibrous tissue, after the sonographer and herself, did an extensive U/S. Fast-forward again, and I am diagnosed with melanoma and need surgery and lymph nodes removed. During this time, I had excruciating pain in the same breast with the lump and I am freaked out bc I am dealing with a different cancer diagnosis. My midwife orders another U/S and that comes back BIRADS 3 with a recommendation of another U/S in 6 months. I just had that follow-up appointment (and have been clear of cancer for exactly a year now) and my BIRADS is 4 with a biopsy recommended bc the tumor grew from the last time. Im waiting for the office to call me to schedule my biopsy. Is that normal for benign tumors to grow? And is it is possible to essentially have melanoma and BC at the same time?!
