Start Taxol Tomorrow

I finished my four rounds of A/C and start Taxol tomorrow and I am nervous. I have been told Taxol is "not as bad" as A/C but I have my doubts. I've heard that it often causes neuropathy. And I liked having two weeks in between A/C infusions because I would have a "good" week after a "bad" week to catch up on work and household duties. Any advice?

I went AC and 12 rounds of taxol. I felt really good at the beginning. Energy was back and my hair starting growing back. At round 7 I started to feel the neuropathy and remember feeling exhausted.

I didn’t ice my hands and feet during treatment. I have no idea why my MO didn’t suggest it. I hope some ladies will chime in on that and other things that have been helpful to prevent neuropathy. I would speak to your MO about icing. There is a thread on here somewhere on icing.

Good luck with treatment. When Iwas going through it I found the weekly taxol thread helpful and active!
