edited September 2021 in Waiting for Test Results

Hello! Seems that my results are a mix of good and bad, hence the 4 rating I guess. U/S calls it a hypoechic (bad) lesion with angulated margins (bad) and portions ill defined (bad). No color doppler flow (good) or posterior acoustic shadowing (good). Appears to have parallel orientation (good?) measures 7x7x5 mm. No lymphadenopathy seen to right axilla.

So, if I'm making a list, I have 3 negatives and 3 positives.... I'd like to find a 4th! :) I had a biopsy today and the surgeon said that she didn't think it looked concerning, so I suppose I can add that as a fourth positive to outweigh my negatives during this horrendous wait! A week to go.

PS- my good/bad comes from googling, so correct me if I'm wrong!

sik12 I am sorry you are going through this. I know it is hard waiting on final pathology. Hopefully it will not be long before you get results. Try not to do google while you wait since it can drive you crazy. If you want to learn something reputable this site is reputable and has a ton of information in there. It is not google. Best wishes to you. Hang in there!

Slk12: I have always defended Google. Yes, there are many dreadful and outdated sites, but there is also an entire world of the latest info at our fingertips. Your anxiety is through the roof and for many of us, info is power. Sounds like you really know how to research. Are you any further ahead? Probably not. It’s still uncertain what your final dx will be. But you have also found some reassuring data. At your weakest moments, and they come in waves, repeat the info in your favour. I found studies that were very positive and I saved them to read when I needed reassurance. Since my dx 8 years ago, I haven’t stopped my research. I have acquired so much information that no one could have possibly provided. BCO is wonderful, but it comes with individual experiences, not always pertinent or useful. So research and find emotional support here. Hopefully, you won’t need to continue your research much longer.
