Hello everyone---I start Taxol tomorrow and was thinking about taking some frozen water bottles to hold during treatment. I keep reading that this helps ward off neuropathy. But it occurred to me that this might not be great for lymphedema risk?

Does anyone know about this? I wish I'd have thought about it earlier, I could have called my lymphedema person.

I used frozen water bottles during Taxol. I did get a very mild case of LE develop during AC, but icing during Taxol made no difference.

I also drank from the ice cold bottle and never had mouth sores during chemo.

I have no neuropathy from chemo.

ETA: I had a little neuropathy develop near the end, but it went away after chemo.

    Good luck!

Thanks!! I have some bottles in the freezer. Really nervous about all of this, but just have to get through it.
