Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Her2 positive breast cancer. I had a bilateral mastectomy with many lymph nodes removed. I have side effects that I experience everyday post TCHP chemo 4 years later. The worst ones are the 40 lb. weight gain/swelling throughout my body, chronic muscle, joint and bone pain. Wondering if others have similar experiences and if any treatments have helped.

BUMP for SueIL07! Sue -- could you share a little about which side effects you're experiencing? This will help others weigh in.

SueL - Could you go to My Profile and enter your diagnosis & treatment? Both things make a difference to what members might answer. What chemo? What side effects? What type of BC?

I had TCHP chemo with out a complete response, so after surgery I had AC chemo before radiation. And then more Herceptin for the rest of a year. I'm 7 years out. I still have neuropathy - particularly dead feet but I'm missing feeling in my fingers often too. I also have breast & truncal lymphadema which I manage with a 24/7 compression bra. There was some mild heart damage but I mostly ignore that & keep MOVING.

Edited - sorry I see you had TCHP. Looking forward to more details.

Thank you for your reply. I added more to my question and I had updated my profile. I agree you have to keep moving! :)

SueL - you have to select "make my info public" for us to see it. So I'm guessing - were you ER/PR positive? Have you been on hormone treatment?

I was not so I managed to skip that, but I've read lots of posts on here about the problems caused by those continuing drugs.
