Worried
It started with me feeling some pain in my left breast post lifting weights in July. Never thorough on breast self examination used this as an opportunity to feel around and felt something like a lump. Rushed to OB/Gyn and breast surgeon - ObGyn said thickened gland and breast surgeon said either prominent gland or fibroadenoma. U/S recommended(mammo if US showed something)which came all clear. 20 days later when I did an examination found a similar lumpish areas in my right breast below the nipple - did another U/S all clear and met up with my Ob Gyn who said it looks fine (breast surgeon on leave). This month when I did breast self exam again felt new lumpish areas in the right breast - left breast seems to have come down - Ob Gyn says I am anxious and those are just prominent glands/thickened tissues and since we had a U/S less than a month ago I should let it be. Also I see something like a very small prominent vein in my right breast (not sure if it was there earlier). So tired - not sure if I should go back to by Breast Surgeon and have another look - do not want this to become a monthly affair. My prominent vein is seen only when I raise my hands - and now I see that could be an early symptom - wouldn't 2 ultrasounds from different centres have picked something ? Also finding both time was Birads -1 and by Breast Surgeon(first time) and Ob Gyn(both times) did not find the lumps clinically suspicious. Should I push for a MRI ?

You didn't say how old you are though I'm assuming young enough not to have annual mammograms. Otherwise I was thinking you have that scan coming up in the future... Since you've had a number of medical folks examine you via manual exams and U/S with no concerns, additional observations similar to others already evaluated, etc. maybe ask if a follow up U/S could happen in 6 months or so unless you noticed larger changes prior. That seems a reasonable middle ground. Some veins can be seen, esp. in people who are thin, fit/work out, etc so I wouldn't get too caught up in that. I can see large veins all over my body though for me it's due to other medical issues....

I am 38 , in India screening and baseline mammograms start at 40.

I’m sorry for the worry you’ve been feeling. It’s definitely stressful when something doesn’t feel right.
I have to have breast MRIs because I’m a high risk patient. I also have extremely dense breasts (Level D) and was told mammograms don’t pick up everything when the breast tissue is so dense.
Have you been told what your breast density is? Are you a high-risk patient? This would prompt a MRI screening- at least that was my case.
Good luck to you and hope all goes well

Thanks for replying. My maternal grandmother thad uterine cancer and died later of an unknown primary but thr surgeon did not consider that high risk, I am also obese but she still did not think it was high risk. I haven't had a mammogram but my last ultrasound said predominantly fatty breast (not sure if ultrasounds can see density).
I think I have severe health anxiety which is why I am not taking my OBGYNs word for it - plan to visit the breast surgeon.
