Hello everyone!

So on the cancer side I have noticed breast tenderness during chemotherapy. Am I the only one. It's not really what I would call sore, just tenderness. It could be from chemo, or maybe hormonal I suppose. I just want to know if anyone else has had this? I found one article about it on the internet stating that it was from chemo killing the cancer. I hope that is true. But anyone who has had chemo before surgery, have any of you had this?

    Hi.

I had little shooting pains in my left breast (cancer side) during chemo. The pain was most noticeable a day or two after infusion day. The pain would go away, then come back after the next infusion. I asked MO, but she had no answers. AC-T did a good job shrinking the tumor (>6cm at dx, undetectable on MRI before surgery), so maybe the pain signals the chemo working. I’m not sure. I hope it’s true for you

    LoverofJesus:

I had some pain in the tumor and an axillary lymph node after my first two infusions and I like to imagine it was the cancer dying.

Most people of BCO recommend that you do NOT search the web. There are a few trusted sites that vet their information, like Mayo or Johns Hopkins or MD Anderson. BCO is one of those. Otherwise you just can't trust the information.

That said - no I did not have tenderness during chemo so I can't comment.
