Cancer Part 2 - 10yrs later...

So I technically don't have a recurrence but a new diagnosis in the same breast. In November 2011 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Estrogen Positive cancer and had lumpectomy and radiation. Did a few years of different meds, Tamoxifen, etc but had horrible side effects. Was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 1 in the same breast. They say it has zero to do with my previous diagnosis. I'm going to be having a single mastectomy with flap reconstruction.

1st time around was crazy. So many people supported me but I haven't talked to my siblings since - long story. This time around I haven't really told many people, 3 friends (not extremely close but not acquaintances), my mom who lives with us, my husbands family and my brothers wife. No one that really is someone who would check in often or who I would go and talk to about how I'm feeling. First time I had this board and it was a life saver - at least until my sister found it and used everything I wrote against me. I've been seeing a therapist over the last few months and have done some EMDR trauma therapy that has been amazing. She thinks I should come back here and lean on my board family. So here I am hoping I can find the support I'm looking for

I'm sorry you have to go through this again but I'm glad you have not let your sister scare you away from BCO. I think you will find a lot of support here. Welcome back!
