March 2020 diagnosed brca2+ With triple positive lobular 3cm, bilateral mastectomy, started TCHP in June 2020 finished up my HP this past June.

2 weeks ago had full hysterectomy.

Onco says nothing left to do now. Have never had a PET, have no testing at all. So do I just wait for metastasis to show up and grow large enough for symptoms?

Feet like just waiting for it.

if you were triple positive I believe most medical oncologists would offer you an aromatase inhibitor after being done with chemo. Having your ovaries out doesn’t get rid of all your estrogen.

Body scans don’t help to capture microscopic circulating cells and so scans will only show things after the cancer has taken hold and grown in a new place.

Unfortunately, that is the case. Oncologists go by symptoms most of the time. Best to you. I'm sorry you are joining us and dealing with this.

    Hugs.

Yes, after BMX that is often the route. How do you feel about your oncologist? I trust mine a lot after interviewing 3 & have found that is vital to my mental health.

Mine gave me a research article showing PET scans etc show tumors Apprx 2-3 mths sooner so she is ALL about my symptoms & any symptoms that last more than 2 weeks she wants me to report to her.
