Ponytail wig question

Hi there,

I am on my 5th week of treatment and know I'll need to start to wear a wig I purchased very soon. I typically wear my hair back in a ponytail and am thinking to purchase another one that is just a ponytail and I can wear my own baseball cap. I've looked up several ponytail wigs on Amazon and unsure which to get. The following one on Amazon is something I'm looking at presently. Seems like most of them have a claw that goes over your regular hair. Will that allow room for my own baseball cap or my own hat? I'd really like to wear my own hats because they fit best and I'm a small person with a small head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Sherry

I had a claw ponytail that I removed the claw from and sewed it to inside of my hat when I was bald. On those claw ponys, the hair is all sewn together on one weft, so you can remove the claw without damaging the hair or having it fall apart.

Some wig companies also make a kind of wig with no top that is made for going under a hat, usually more expensive than a claw pony, though

hi! I wore a headband ponytail that worked with my own hats. I got it at headcovers.com. I'm not sure about the claw. I was bald so I put on the headband ponytail then fed it through my own baseball caps. Best wishes!

if you're cold capping and still have some hair, thereare also these wrap-style ponytails, which will do better at fitting under a hat than a claw. But again, if you go completely bald, you need something to attach it to, so then the headband or halo type wig may work better
