New lump in the other breast - kidding right?!

Well, had a mastectomy on right breast last month. Finally got home yesterday evening from the Hurricane Ida evacuation after thirteen days. Noticed a nipple discharge last month (slight amount) in my left breast. Checked again last night. It has not gone away. Did a breast exam. Found a small lump in that breast at the 9:00 position. C'mon…what is the likelihood I could have cancer in both breasts? Luckily, my MO is Johnny on the spot and scheduled an appointment for me today for an exam and to schedule tests. Crossing fingers I have lost my mind...

Unfortunately, it happens. I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in 2016. Seven tumors, five kinds of cancer, both breasts. I found the first lump. It turned out to be triple negative, which is super aggressive and fast growing. I was fortunate that my doctor was super thorough and found a lump in my other breast.

I'm hoping that it isn't a new cancer, but if it is, it's usually treatable if found early, which it sounds like it would be.

Good luck. Hope it turns out to be nothing.

    Trish
