Feeling lumps after reconstruction

Hi all,

I am two years out from a single mastectomy with TE placement ( after five months of chemo) followed by radiation and anastrozole, and about 10 months out of delayed DIEP (due to Covid). I had fat grafting and nipple reconstruction about a month ago and have just discovered two small lumps in my reconstructed breast. I can’t see my PS for a few weeks and doubt I could see any of my other doctors any sooner. I have read about scar tissue and fat necrosis, but I’m just getting more and more anxious..

I have some lumps that they say are fat necrosis. The plan is to ultrasound every 6 months, and if they don't change, we can ignore them

I've had them scanned twice without changes.

Thank you for answering! I have to admit, I'm freaking out. The one constant with cancer seems to be…change.

Had an ultrasound and yes, fat necrosis….good news, but I am just exhausted from all of this
