Had my annual Oncology visit in June and showed him a pea sized.lump in Rt breast and told him I was just positive it was fat necrosis from previous fat injections. Ultrasound and Mamo could not determine. I opted for a 3 month wait and see. FF to 3 weeks ago I had a biopsy because my gut said to pay attention! Imagine my shock when I read my path report and it said recurrence of Pleomorphic ILC. I have had a BMX, Chemo, 10 years total of AI's and hear I am. Had PET it was clear, Er+ PR+ (very weak) HER2 - I will meet with BS on the 30th

Anyone have any thoughts on why I am recurring?

My former GYN said the greatest risk for breast cancer is being a woman....Geez Linda! 3rd time!! Unbelievable and yet there certainly are stories like yours on this site and elsewhere. You didn't do anything wrong.... breast cancer isn't ones fault - there are stories of people who have been health nuts and still getting various kinds of cancer, including breast cancer. Sending support and gentle hugs....

Thank you ladies for your replies. Had excision on the 20th, but did not have clean margins 😒 so back to surgery next Monday.

OY. That sucks more! Did your doctors have any thoughts about your recurrence?

In 2016 my Mamaprint stated Pleomorphic and Luminal B which is most likely the cause.I am guessing they don't know anything for sure 😒
