I had my first chemo on Friday. I felt ok the first day but had a bad headache. It went away yesterday morning. I took two short naps yesterday and felt pretty good. I've been taking my Zofran on time. Took Claritin for the neulasta. This morning I woke up dizzy and a little nausea. My muscles hurt and my skin is sensitive. My salivary gland feel swollen and it huts to move my neck. I don't have a fever. Should I be concerned about my glands? I gargle wit salt water and baking soda every time I go to y b d bathroom. I've been ducking on sour candy once a day and try to drink at least 63 Oz of water. Is there anything else I can do? I was hoping to go back to work on Tuesday.

Hello, I am sorry you are having side effects. I did not have the same side effects as you but I was not able to work for a week after each treatment because I was feeling awful. I was extremely tired as well for the first week. Though some people have it much easier so you might still be able to work this Tuesday. Everyone is different. There is a thread for AC treatment as well if you haven't seen it. It helped me a lot to read others' experiences:

I read the A/C thread before starting and got a lot of great ideas. I'm mainly venting to others that gave had the same experience. Thanks for the reply

I've had two rounds of AC and both times I had swollen/tender neck glands for about a day. The first time I was too sick and nauseated to really care. The second time I remembered it happened the first time and was ok. I actually wonder if it was from the Neulasta working it's immune system magic, but not really sure. It went away quickly though, both times.
