I had a MRI with a 3.2 cm linear non-mass enhancement in the right upper central breast. Needing a biopsy. The left has a slightly more prominent 1.6 cm linear non mass enhancement also. Has anyone had this large of a non mass and its benign? What else could this be? I am so worried that it won't be benign. Does anyone know about medium intial and persistent delayed Kinetics? and slow initial and persistent delayed Kinetics? I recieved this report on a saturday have not spoken to any doctor yet. The suggestion is both breast need to be biopsied. Thank you for any advice. Becky

Onvaca - try using the BCO search function for linear-non-mass enhancement and also for delayed kinetics you might find others who have experienced these and the threads might provide answers to some of your questions. I certainly hope your findings turn out to be benign.

I had a 3 cm area of non-mass enhancement. It turned out to be (after surgery pathology) a mix of lots of benign and precancerous stuff-not cancer though. The DCIS is why I was having surgery. Had I not had mastectomy on that breast they told me (after surgery), I would've had lots of biopsies in my future due to all the stuff in the non-mass enhancement....
