Ongoing breast pain

hi I wanted to see if anyone else has a similar experience. Back in 2018 I went for mammogram and u/s for breast pain. The ultrasound picked up and we biopsied an area. It came back benign “ micro cysts “ and they put a clip in me. Since then I’ve had pain off and on. Sometimes worse. I had an ultrasound in dec 2020 and another mammogram and ultrasound in March 2021.

The last few weeks I’ve had really sore breast , my nipple feels tender and just constant pain. I went to my dr today and she didn’t feel any palpable mass but I’m going to get an mammogram tomorrow and then we “ go from there “ as she said.

I’ve never had an MRI so now I’m paranoid if something was missed. Anyone else have breast pain that turned out not to be anything? My sister was diagnosed with b/c at 42 and was stage 2. I’m 46 and always so worried. I’m just a ball of nerves. Thanks for reading.

I had an MRI a couple weeks ago. A couple large breasted friends of mine says you lay on a table face down with your 2 breast hanging down below. I do not have huge breasts, but it is the same for all. Mine was 30 minutes. They offer headsets usually, yet the clink and click of the machine working drowns out the music. I said the Serenity Prayer and kept my eyes close to think and meditate. I must say i also used the sounds of the machines and focused on them for a bit too. Small deep breaths to remain calm. No moving for the time in the machine. We do not want to do it over.

My MRI found the same mass found in the ultrasound and the Mammogram. I was told that each test sees something else. AFTER I have tests, I read what they look for on the internet. I am going to the City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte California. Are you going to a good place?

Lastly, I have 1 friend with lumpy breasts who has had lumps and pain here and there but no cancer. The best place to be is with a Dr. Talking about your pain. Come and report back tomorrow. I am getting my port put in for chemo. I forgot to add, mine is not spreading, it is estrogen positive and so far only in the left breast. No lymph nodes. Look for something postive!!

thank you for your reply. May I ask what / if you had any symptoms before your diagnosis ?
